Mass Effect 2

First topic message reminder :

Seriously can't wait for this bad boy. But here's the thing, I'm not happy with my ME1 character/chocies so I'm going to start from a scratch on ME2. A reboot, if you will.

Anyone else getting it? If so, how will you start?

That part took me several attempts on insanity, probably the hardest part of the game. I did my insanity playthrough with a soldier, main weapon I used was a sniper, the widow actually which you get from the collector ship. I can't remember much else about the character i used but I'm pretty sure I had squad disruptor ammo and squad warp ammo, I seriously took advantage of adrenaline rush, and I had Miranda in my squad for pretty much every mission because of her overload and warp powers.

That is where i am on the 2nd game on Insanity..
I knew i was gonna have problems with it, but Jebus!! lol
I have heard one of the weapon packs (collector ray or something) makes it eaiser but not had chance to try it out, i need to pick the game up again

One other thing I forgot to mention about insanity is that it's easier if you start with a new character instead of starting a new game + with a high level character because the enemies are scaled up depending on your characters level if that makes sense.

On a second playthrough now at the moment because i picked up all the story related dlc for a bargin price 0f 600ms points recently. Forgot how much i love this game!! Just finished the overlord dlc and thought it was quite good

I might just start a normal playthrough so I can do the DLC. The Insanity achievement is really close to making me quit all gaming

I picked up all the dlc when it was cheap over christmas and I'm looking forward to starting a new playthrough, I'm drowning in new games at the moment though so not sure when I'll get the chance!

Hopefully I'll be starting this in a few days. I decided to give the original another chance after ditching it last year after a couple of hours. Put 12 hours in since yesterday morning and I'm loving it.

I am well back hooked on ME2, given up on Insane and gone back to my normal game save to mop up some missions I missed

i am currently whoring points a bit to get to my 50k so as soon as thats over i am gonna play through both of these games

I got another Cerberus Network code with the new copy of ME2 I bought, But I don't need it as it still knows I had one with my old copy. So if anyone doesn't have one, and needs it, let me know and I'll give you this code.

What does it do mate? I bought my copy of ME2 preowned so i got no codes in the box!

Like the other EA games there is a code for an in game DLC pipeline - the Cerberus Network. you will get a couple of extra weapons and missions for free to download, one of which has an achievement and an extra character

I'll be starting my playthrough of ME2 as soon as i finish my first playthrough of the first one. Although with the size of the game, this could be a few weeks away yet...

I think its only a 25-30 hour game if memory serves me correctly

Yeah something like that from the achievement guides i've had a quick look at. But since i'll probably only manage a couple of hours per day on it. And i have decided i'm gonna play them both through properly first, rather than following guides to max them out.

I've finally completed this today, after a week of ploughing around 2-3 hours a day into it, until last night/this morning when I've played for a good 5-6 hours... LOVED the ending.. just gotta mop up the final few achievements.. not sure I wanna do insane tho... lol

picked this up today for 7.99 pre owned as missed the 4.98 deal a few weeks back gonna make sure this time i give it a fair bashing got borderlands goty on the way to so should keep me busy till bulletstorm

Played this solidly over the weekend. Finished the full game and all the DLC. Absolutely loved it.

This has been keeping me awake till 3am for the past few nights can not believe i was so quick to judge it first time round and got rid of it.

I am glad everyone is giving this game a second chance. It is also moving up the charts bizarrely enough. 18th in the all formats chart the last time I checked

Just finished my playthrough too. Did all the DLC and got all those achievements. And I made all my team survive the suicide mission. Really enjoyed playing through it this time. Can't wait for Mass Effect 3

Got this recently from Game for a fiver; will start playing it at some point soon; bloody raging that i missed the cut price DLC!

Just finished the shadow broker dlc. I have finished all the dlc so far and i have been very impressed!! Nearly finished my second playthrough now and im determined to keep all the feckers on my team alive during the final mission
