Mass Effect 2

Seriously can't wait for this bad boy. But here's the thing, I'm not happy with my ME1 character/chocies so I'm going to start from a scratch on ME2. A reboot, if you will.

Anyone else getting it? If so, how will you start?

I really enjoyed the first one but never actually finished it played it all the way through to about 2-3 hours from the end then got distracted by something else and played that instead so although I'm really looking forward to number two I need to put some time aside to box the first one off! As for tactics I played soldier class first time around and quite enjoyed it so I am planning on doing that and then doing a second playthrough as another class based on whatever looks the coolest first time around.

your choices and character level aren't carried over. But if you have a ME1 completed game saved it makes getting one if the 75 g achievements easier. You will also have better starting equipment such as upgrades etc depending on your level fom the first one

Definately getting this without a doubt... I have numerous different saves from ME1 so I will be opting to carry over for my first playthrough, which I believe was mainly paragon choices...

If this game is anything like the first one then I know I will be playing through it several times anyway so I'm well prepared with the number of different playthroughs I had from the first one... I think I'm looking forward to the renegade playthrough the most

Niteowl - Oh yeah I know, you have to do it 'manually'. I chose Middle of the rd biotics/combat type and whilst I did alright levelling up and all that, the soldier class for ME2 just looks HAMAZING.

I started a new game a few months back of ME1 as a Soldier but as I wasn't getting any GS for it, I sacked it off

This all hinges on wether I enjoy the first one or not.......still waiting for Zavvi to send it.

I am doing the same for no other reason than I have a new machine and have lost my old save. I CANT WAIT FOR THIS GAME. SERIOUSLY.

That one video has basically made my decision to buy it become justified.

I didn't really need a reason for justifying the purchase of this games but if I did then the launch trailer and video review wouldn't have hurt ME2 cause... the launch trailer is actually better than what you get for some top dollar movie releases... go figure!

I can't believe IGN marked ME2 down because it was overly referential! Surely anything with a continuing narative has to reference itself alot. Plus it's a smart way for Bioware to get people into the first game too. Can't wait to be a Vanguard!

I find IGN to be a bit hot and cold when it comes to reviews, sometimes they mark down really good games for no other reason than just to do so and other times they give games an 8 or more out of 10 when they really really dont deserve it... like with all things I suppose it is a matter of perspective and how large the brown envelope stuffed with cash was

Someone screwed up!

All of the DLC, which was apparently only for those who preordered from Gamestop in the US, is up and available for free for everyone!

The links are in one of the first few comments and are for the US marketplace, but they do get added to your queue......

Seems like they have fixed this little snafu as when you try to download now all you get is the message:

"Sorry

This item is not available for purchase from Xbox LIVE Marketplace on the Web."

I got it

I am a complete numpty.
I only downloaded 1 of the 9 as I thought it contained all the dlc.

Good job I am not a fan of these games.

I missed it. Luck is not my friend.
