Mass Effect!

Well, I have spent a bit of time sorting out my Mass Effect charter.

Played through the first one maxing my Paragon, this gave me a boost for Mass Effect 2. Which I also got max Paragon and saved all of my crew. My character is sorted and ready for Mass Effect 3!

To those who haven't played it, play it. It's an awesome story and a fun game to play.

To those who have played it, what are your thoughts on the two games so far? And is your character ready for Mass Effect 3?

I love the game and have played through both games about 5 times each, it's an addictive and fun game. And the story so far has blown me away, just hope Mass Effect 3 is better!

I have recently started playing this and at the moment im finding it a little slow, good story but just alot of long cutscenes! I am sticking with it tho, hoping to get a bit further tonight, now I have completed Starwars Force unleashed (the first one).

I loved the first one, havent played the 2nd one too much so need to crack into that! lol

i have both the games but neither of them have graced my xbox yet

I think they will be getting played over christmas see how they play

I know a lot of people rate the games an i got them both for a combined 13 pounds

I lost two members of crew, sadly. But I'm not bothered. I have the Firewalker and Overlord add-ons to play through. I may start tonight. Thanks for the reminder

I fell in love woth the first one soon as i played it.. sure i mentioned this at some point, a few times lol
Can never get enough of it, the story, the setting, the visuals
The story of how Humanity made "1st Contact" is my imagining of how we finally break free from this dump lol sure there was mistakes made and people died, but that's Humanity.. Sue us! hahah
All the little details far, far, FAR outweigh the elevators.. a minor detail in the broad spectrum that is Space..
And fully finished it to 1000 (plus dlc)

The 2nd game was just as good, but halved, and that mad me sad lol double the disk space, but half the game... how'd they manage that then? With Cut-scenes... fail.. still need to finish it fully, will do one day.. maybe not when the 3rd game comes out but i have my save ready for that
And used the same character from the first in the 2nd.. should be able to carry it over to the 3rd surly?

I haven't played this at all...

Whats the gameplay like?

I love the Mass Effect games, probably my 2 favourite xbox games, played through them both multiple times. I have my renegade Shepard ready for Mass Effect 3 but I'm planning on doing a paragon Shepard at some point to carry over to ME3 as well.

Overall I think I prefer ME1 over ME2, even with all it's technical issues, the game was more open and felt more like a true rpg, I think the combat is better in ME2 and it's a more polished game, but to me there's just something about the first game that makes it a more enjoyable experience.

I always really wanna get into these.

I was determined to max the first game earlier this year, but I just really didn't feel like playing it again after the first playthrough.

I bought Mass Effect 2 on release date, and played alot of it but still never finished it.

On the first playthru i played it on easy, 2nd was on hardcore for that cheeble and 3rd was on insane. Tho if you still need the cheeble for completing most of the game (which involves going everywhere talking to everyone and reading everything (about 80% total) then it's better to do on the 1st playthru as you can then just concentrate on where you have to go to carry on the story.
If you can still get cheebles from it then it is always worth playing it..

I finally started playing this yesterday, only got about 2 hours into it, but loving it so far. I'm planning on having a good session on it this afternoon too.

Am very glad to see these games back as the focus of attention. Much deserved

What a game.

I put about 2 hours in to this last year then gave up. Decided to give it another chance and have now lost a week of my life.

I know what you mean mate, i only started playing this, for the 1st time this week. I'm about 6 hours or so into it so far and loving it. It got a lot better when i first got to leave the Citadel.

I can see me losing hours at a time playing it. And i intend to play Mass Effect 2 straight after i finish the main story.
