Re: *Official Modern Warfare 2 Thread*
Yeah, I have just finished the game on veteren level and I was surprised at how easy it was to completed compared to veteren on the other COD games. This is the first time I have done it. Well pleased with myself. Now I've just to do the spec ops plus get all the intel.

Re: *Official Modern Warfare 2 Thread*
I've also just completed the campaign on Veteran, and will agree it was definately easier than COD4. (still need to get around to doing it on WAW).

Wow! I've just finished MW2 on veteran. It really wasn't that bad with only a couple of places where it got a little frustrating.
As others have said on here. If I can do it then there is no reason you can't.

Re: *Official Modern Warfare 2 Thread*
They may of played Ground war or something as the Team Deathmatch in that goes up to 10000 points which I think is 100 kills at 100 points a kill not sure or got it on Domination where the kills don't count towards the score because a player on my team had at least a 66 kill streak and then used his nuke.

Re: *Official Modern Warfare 2 Thread*
Just finished single player on veteran and got all the single player achievements except drive by. God pit boss was a b***h. What was the hardest level for everyone?
I found the 2 min timer in contingency and the hill at the end of loose ends very hard.

Re: *Official Modern Warfare 2 Thread*
Just 100% the campaign. Gonna finish the rest of spec ops off when i go back home for Christmas with my kid brother. i don't think there were any achievements that were particularly difficult but i can definitely see spec ops giving me some trouble.

MW 2 online rant
I have played through the single player part of MW2 and had loads of fun doing it. I have also dipped my toe into the special ops missions and they seem like good fun. This lives up to all the 9/10 reviews that are everywhere for this game. However I am getting very irritated with part of the game that everyone reviewing it raves about the most.
MW 2 is supposed to be the greatest multiplayer FPS ever and it does have a shed load of online content and unlocks. Most of the games I have been in have also run pretty smoothly and everything seems balanced pretty well (apart from the thermal sight and heart rate monitor). Though I now limit my time online with this game to nights with other members of GSA due to having my arse handed to me by squawking 14 year olds every ten seconds when venturing online alone. I got bored of this very quickly. This is where the problem becomes aparent; MW 2's integration with xbox parties is shocking to say the least. Entering a game lobby in a party, starting a match, or inviting others becomes a game of luck as the game can often bar you, kick you or randomly split your party up between matches. I have joined a few of the Friday night sessions and it is becoming more and more common that 2/3 of the time is spent waiting for a match, jumping out of lobbies or games as the group has been split, or waiting for people to be invited and accept invites to join the game again. Its also very annoying that in a game where you can have quite large matches, the number of party members is limited to 9. Last nights session proved popular with GSA members but many of them could not join the party or had to leave early to make room for others. Even when joining a match it seemed that the more people within the party, the more likely it was that something would go wrong.
For me this may result in MW 2 being put to the bottom of the gaming pile as it seems that if someone wants to avoid the legions of internet smacktards and have a friendly community based game with friends then you had better make sure you have a good book to read beside you or some other means of distraction to put off the depressing feeling of mortality as you grow older very slowly waiting for MW 2 to grant a lucky break.

Re: *Official Modern Warfare 2 Thread*
I feel your pain mate.
GSA only matches is the only option I would ever consider on any game online though.
There are enough of us here to always find someone, even on the older games.
As for MW2, I only play single player and spec ops, but that's only because there are no achieves for the multiplayer

Re: *Official Modern Warfare 2 Thread*
I know sop, we are thinking of a way to make gameplay better so you wouldnt have to wait half hour till you can play.. therefore teams might be split up into 5 ppl each and then there would be none of these problems, but ofcourse 5 aint same as 9 .. :/

Re: *Official Modern Warfare 2 Thread*
Last night was my first experience of playing in a large group and I couldn't believe how much hassle matchmaking was.
Reminds me of how bad Gears 2 was to begin with and that took over 6 months to fix properly

And even after said 6 months they still hadn't fixed it properly... still broken now to be honest!
To be fair "matchmaking" systems are a complete and utter waste of space, much better to just make a lobby and grab as many friends as you want and then AND ONLY THEN "match-make".
Oh and this rant is the reason I wont play CoD games online... of course I would have to buy one first
