Yet another Gears 2 XP event and more . .

This is the latest news from Rod on Twitter

We're doing 10x XP for the full 10 days and I'm planning on serving up a little Horde surprise to help you grind that Seriously achievement

This is going on during the American holiday of Thanks Giving.
Here's the schedule

Ok, little secret. Even tho all the promos will say that Thanksgiving event starts on the 24th, I'm actually going to start it on the 19th

i can FINALLY get to 100 and i am gonna hammer it see how close to seriously i can get.

I'm currently sitting on 64k so will def be hammering this out

I am level 53 I think, so x10 XP is in fact CRAPOLA for me.

Will have a look to see what the surprise is though.............hang on, no I won't I will wait for Gash to tell me

I think you mean Sires Gash, the dreadlocked thingies.
They must be altering Horde somehow as even with tickers you're not really gonna make any significant dent into Seriously2.0 playing normal Horde unless they really increase the numbers of the buggers a hell of a lot.
Looking forward to see what they do with Horde to give a Seriously boost.

I dunno what it is with the gears franchise, but I cannot for the life of me, get into multiplayer... Even horde mode

Campaign Co-op is where its at for me! lol

Good that they are doing multiple XP tho..

Welcome back stripyjohn, its been awhile since we've seen you on here!

I already have Seriously 2.0 and am level 100, but I forgot about the last XP event where they had the game mode to get the Annex acheivement. Anyone know if it's still there?, or was it only for that event?

I don't know mate but i forgot about that too, and i still need the annex cheevo.

Am so glad I no longer ever have to play this game. Just thinking about it makes me twitch nervously

From reading the Epic forums it seems evident that there's no way they can manipulate the kill count, meaning one kill will still mean one kill.
It also seems that Horde is run on a points system too so I'm not even sure they can increase the amount of enemies.
Nothing I read made me very confident that they'll be able to give us a little boost towards our Seriously cheevo, but you never know, I'm sure they know more about the games coding and how to manipulate it than I do so I'll keep my fingers crossed regardless.

i belive theres a seperate playlist just for the annex achiev but then again i havent played it since i got level 100 and that was 3 xp events ago lol

still havent even got 1 submission capture so i doubt this will interest me at all but never know lol

The meatflag achievement seems to be the one most people I know are missing. Hard to boost and hard to get a game where people are playing properly, even outside these XP events

yup i'm missing that one too!

Shouldn't be too hard to get some of those Meatflags captured if we have a full team of us doing it. That way it wont matter how the other team are playing as we'll be a cohesive unit hell bent on winning and not arsing about kill farming.
Plus if some of us already have that achievement and we're the one with the meatflag we can drop him near the capture point and let whomever needs the achievement pick him up and get the capture
I certainly wont mind giving up a capture to someone who needs it as I've already got the cheevo.

sounds a good idea but im not entirely sure if its boostable though

never tried boosting it or even tried to get that achiev because it seemed rather a horrid one to get lol

bit confusing! i am just guessing that there are gonna be more enemies within the levels on horde

I think that there gonna have more locust on each wave something like wave 1 all tickers wave 2 wretchs and so on with something like double the amount per wave

I want to see a wave of 5,000 tickers.

So shoot one and 1,000 blow in a chain reaction, awesome

I haven't been following the Gears forums, so I can't say for definite, but these events usually start about 2pm for us.
