80% Battlefield: Hardline Sales on Current-Gen Consoles

The current-gen has well and truly landed - if figures from EA are anything to go by.

According to their figures, a colossal 80% of all Battlefield: Hardline sales are on Xbox One and PS4.

Blake Jorgensen, EA's Chief Financial Officer, commented on the number, saying that it illustrates, 'how far the transition has already come, approximately four out of every five copies of Battlefield Hardline sold for consoles that were either Xbox One or PlayStation 4.'

So is this a reason for celebration, after so many gamers have been worried about the lack of current-gen games on the horizon? Or are the devs removing support for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 too soon?

I love my last gen consoles and will keep them forever!

BUT I hope the devs start making New Gen only games from now on, something to impress me as so far it feels like last gen 1.1, not even 1.5

I am sure they still made a tidy profit on the 20% on the cheaper systems to ensure future support still.Of course AAA titles will sell well on X1 and PS4 because there are hardly any decent games released for them so when on comes along everyone jumps.

I could state similar statistics :80 % of my time I spend on 360, 20 % I spend on X1.
