anyone NOT buying Gears 3?

I am not buying Gears 3.

I hated both Gears 1 & 2 multiplayer so much.

Just wondered if I was the only one not at all excited about it and not buying it???

How can you hate Gears multiplayer Kentus??

Last night you were sat there accumulating free XP while being in the other room talking to your totty! What's not to like?!

Trying to get my wings has sapped all the love I had for these game away.

So I am going to enjoy NOT buying it more than buying it.

Although I have been known to crack in the past

I'm not planning on buying it anytime soon. Will more than likely just rent it from Lovefilm or Blockbuster. Then get the GOTY edition with all the DLC included when that comes out

I find myself in the exact same situation every year come the annual CoD release. I detest those games with a passion and was still caught out last year thinking Black Ops would be different. I refuse to give in this year though and will not be lulled into buying something I know I'll take back within a week.
This year'll be different from others, Gears 3 will mean not every bugger on my friends list will be playing CoD and nothing else.

im not bothered about gears 3 ill wait for lovefilm to send it to me or buy it cheap next year when there doing 30xp events

I feel like I ought to throw my 2 cents in... After eventually folding and buying Black Ops about a month after release, I wished that I had stuck to my guns and gone with my instinct as I swept through the singleplayer campaign on veteran, tutting and muttering to myself over it's mind numbingly predictable 'set pieces' and so called storyline. Shouting at the TV as I got 'merked' by another 10 year old with the same generic tag like 'SK0p3Sh0tZ' or some bollocks... Because Treyarch threw multiplayer cheevz in. I decided then and there to only buy one online shooter this year and, after not a lot of deliberation, that will be Battlefield 3 (with designs on actually enjoying it)! This is because no matter how many times I try and kid myself that I will be able to just play these soulless, cash cow shooters for a few hours and drop 'em if they suck I'm a gamerscore whore and that's why I'm here! I should have stopped years ago after playing Quantum of Solace endlessly for 1000G! The very thought of it now makes me feel dirty and ashamed. So to summarise: My name is J and I'm an addict, I won't be buying Gears 3 or Modern Warfare 3 because I know I'll end up putting way too much time into the damn games purely for the completion percentage... End of rant

I'm with Kent.
Not going to get this game, I have the previous 2, mostly because a mate wanted to play through them co-op.
But this year i think i'll save the money for something that I actually want to play through.
In fact, maybe i'll save on both Gears3 and MW3 and put the money in my I want an iPad saving fund.

I won't be getting it till it's cheap. I like the games but not enough to get them on release.

I enjoy the co-op play of the story but hate the online GRIND GRIND GRIND.

Trying to avoid the hype and focus on the games series I love.

Which is why you see me trying to complete Dynasty Warriors 7 every night as I love it and I'm addicted

I'm not excited about it at all, I know they are really good games but there is just something that turns me off about them, I'm not sure if its the character or the setting or what, I've played through all of gears 1 and half of gears 2 so if I get around to finishing 2 and enjoy it I will probably get around to picking up number 3 won't be for a while though

I'll be picking it up at some point mainly as my gf and me have finished all the others together so its only fitting to get this. However I'm not buying anythign till my birthday as I'm under orders not to!! Personally its all about AC REvelations for me

I really enjoyed the Beta, and am kinda looking forward to getting into the multiplayer again, and testing the new maps out. But I can't afford to buy it atm. If I could I would, but it's probs just gonna be a rental, but hopefully one that will turn up on release day.

I really can't wait to not buy this now!

Everyday gets closer to me not having it and not playing it.

I am certain I am going to enjoy not playing it far more than any game I could actually play!

I actually hated GOW1 multiplayer which is why I only did horde on GOW2 til the BETA of GOW3 and loved the Multiplayer there. THen I wnt back to try GOW2 and suprisingly enjoyed it.

Have to agree with you there so many shooters have such stupid level 50 blah blah blah achievements in them now. If it's good I'll play it. I given up of those BS achievements like the homefront one etc... assassins creed brotherhood has one too, which is annoying but then it has fun multiplayer so I'll end up getting that in the end.

I like the approach of the halo reach one, as it's not like you've got to get anywhere near the top and all your campaign and firefight action count towards ranking up too.

On a side note I'll be getting Gears3 because it's AWESOME in fact I've found since the BETA that Gears-2 multiplayer BULL annoys me more and more the closer the release of Gears3 gets.

I am with you kent,not that i do not like it,just never even played the 2nd one so obviously will not get this one.

I'm well excited about it, its out on my birthday so thats a plus point. Have had on pre-order for months, lost my job a couple of weeks ago but ensured the funds were still there.

There is only 1 down fall with this game coming out and that is it will clash with my gaming time on Final Fantasy XI.

i have never played or owned any of the gears games...so i doubt very much that i will start now

Not buying. Yet. Far too many games to play at the minute. Just can't justify buying new games. Much as I want to.

be getting it when the price drops been stung to many times buying new games on release day and a few weeks later they drop in price
