MS buying a share in Activision? Empty MS buying a share in Activision?

This could be a wild rumour, but if it's true it could be huge...Vivendi are apparently listening to offers for their 60% share in Activision Blizzard, with Microsoft supposedly one of the frontrunners.

If it happens, then imagine the impact an Xbox exclusive COD game could have.

I wonder . .

Say that is true and they end up being the majority shareholders. What would make the better money?

Keeping CoD multiplatform and raking it in, or making it Xbox exclusive and hoping that forces people into buying their console?

Bare in mind, they still make no profit on each console sold, I think and if that is true, there'd be no logic in making it Xbox exclusive as you'd lose money from people not buying the game as they'd refuse to buy a console just for one game.

Yeah, an interesting point you make! They might believe though that all those hardcore COD fans are bound to buy an Xbox and then are bound to buy other games too. And i'm assuming that the majority of COD players are young and still at home with their parents and as such have plenty disposable income??? Not sure, just surmising!! Couple that with the opportunity to stick one on Sony and they may feel it's worth it.
