The Biggest Loser for Kinect.

I've just bought this game for £13 on Amazon, which I think is a pretty good price for a kinect game. I've seen a few reviews giving it around 7.5/8 out of 10. Which to me is reasonably good. It doesn't look like it's selling well at all though. Theres no customer reviews on any of the sites that sell it, so was wondering if anyone else has bought it and if so, what's your opinion on it?. I have a feeling it's not selling well purely because theres Fitness Evolved and Sports Active out at the same time.

Any kinect game at 13 squiddles is allways good look at it this way if its that rubbish surely when u trade or sell on ebay you will get your money back

Have seen it for sale in some Indie shops but Gamestation / Game aren't stocking it.

Let us know what it's like for achievements once you get it though mate

Just checked out the achievement list and there's ones for completing 4, 8 and 12 week fitness programs. Hopefully that's not in real time.

I think it is real time. There's a few 100 point achievements on it too. For £13, I think that a game that will last us 'determined' whores at least 12 weeks is good value for money tbh.

Played this about an hour ago. Did a 30 minute intense workout. Was knackered after the first 10 minutes, but stuck it out. I've chose on my plan to do it 5 times per week for 12 weeks, so if today is anything to go by, in 12 weeks time, I'll be able to run a Marathon

And I'm gonna be playing, 'Your Shape: Fitness Evolved' at the same time.

Well you can end the session if you need to, but obviously you dont get the same workout, and score etc.
You can even play online with the biggest loser apparently. Though I'd rather see how that works first before playing with people

when i had your shape for the 2 odd weeks i did i found when doing the full boxing cardio gave me leg cramps for days.
That's how unfit i am them damn leg Lunges so this would actually end in a stroke for me

Oh of course im buying your shape back next week as it's the first game ive even got the mrs near so it's a win win gaming mrs and slimmer model

got this on order from play.com at £13 got to wait for it to come back in stock, playing adventures for 30 mins kind of knackers me but then again thats maybe because im not used t 'active' games as yet lol


but £13 seems a good price and if you keep to it will do wonders unless you have some greasy fryups and flumping steaks everyday lolz

It's actually really good. I have this and Your Shape, but I prefer this. Although Your Shape is clearly more professional and more money has gone into it, if you don't do the moves exactly how they are on screen, the calorie counter doesnt go up, so say I do 20 movements, but my leg is slightly out of place, it will only say i've done one or 2, and so to them im not losing any calories but to me i'm knackered.

We got the EA active game for the Wii last year sometime, and it has pretty much the same problem. You have to be holding the Wii remote and nunchuk exactly right or it won't register the moves properly.

A better alternative for you all

well night time training 2 went well

the lunges are not really working out as the game does not seem to pick them out very well

but apart from them and the hip lifts Kinect really does seem to do a good job

11 and a half weeks to go

Finished my first week today, lost 2lb, not loads but it's good enough. Won the weekly weigh in too so managed to bag a few achievements while at it .

The excercises do get alot easier if you keep at em, I'm finding the sessions alot more managable now than what they were at the beginning.
