Microsoft apologises for making some games briefly backwards compatible Empty Microsoft apologises for making some games briefly backwards compatible

Over last weekend Microsoft accidentally made a few games backwards compatible and they worked, users were able to play them. Then the lord giveth and the lord taketh away, as Microsoft removed them again. These games include Halo Wars, Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and Red Dead Redemption. They also annoyingly 'fixed' the issue by making a mandatory update for each of the games that doesn't exist leaving the unplayable.

Red dead redemption is one of the most anticipated backwards compatible games and was announced forever ago yet still isn't officially backwards compatible.

Does that mean these games will officially be backwards compatible soon? Who knows as Microsoft don't tell anyone when a new Xbox 360 game is available on Xbone, good job Microsoft.
