GTASC 2014....anyone interested?

First topic message reminder :

We've entered teams for the last 2 years, so I thought I'd see if anyone was up for it again.

Big change this year is the fact that the leaderboards and registrations are all handled directly on TA and not on the separate GTASC site, but it's the same basic principle....lasts a year, teams of 4, lowest TA gains eliminated every week.

I know we probably don't stand a realistic chance, but it's a good motivator if you're like me and stuck in a gaming rut.

I'd be tempted to save it for a later week when it gets more competitive personally. I suspect the 8 teams that go out for the first couple of weeks will be teams where people signed up for the hell of it and some of the members really score nothing at all.

I know what you're saying Waggles, i was thinking that too but that's what Boomerang have sent me. I was hoping to get it later on. Still, There are plenty of others nearly as shameful on the list so might be ok, hopefully.

You never know, people might blow all their easy points early. Who knows how it'll turn out. Still got Avatar and Spiderwick Chronicles etc to go at. I hope to mix those up with some higher ratio games.

Will be interested to know what you think of Spiderwick when you get that - I actually really enjoyed it and getting the 1K wasn't in the slightest bit grindy, which was nice.

Ooh just outside the top 50!

Well I should get a good start today. I've got my sons coming round and I bought him Disney Infinity for xmas and quite graciously on my part said he could it bring it round with him so should get a good start today!! It seems MArkav isn't the only one to have a team working for him!!

My son has offered to play through skylander giants a second time. On my account this time, all for a good cause   

One achievement so far, but it had a rather high TA ratio so not all bad!

I haven't played tonight. Work has been crazy. I've got a massive backlog after the hols. Got up at half five and Just sat down now at half ten at night. Straight to bed it is then ready to do it all again tomorrow.

Might not get to game again this competition period at this rate. Yoiks.

Heh, I wondered how long it would take before someone mentioned my poor performance so far.

We won't go out this period, Colne's whoring has us at a nice level. And I have just been super awesome and won us another 10G a few mins ago, bringing my total so far this week to a spanking 15G.

I have some whorers to play, but don't want to blow my load too early, as it were.  

never mind colnes whoring. what about my efforts? maassive ta ratios on that kinect disney game, im pissing with sweat trying to gold star every attraction!

I plugged away nicely last night and got around 100g in total. ill keep playing through and see what i can chip in to help   

sorry for the double post but this may have been in the rules and i never read them but if you look on the team pages there is a 1000 ta acheivement that you can use once up to an hour before the end of any period.

Maybe worth looking out when approaching the end of periods that both teams are well clear of the cut off

I spotted that yesterday. The bonus carries over into the next period right? So we can use it whenever we want during the comp?

I would assume a score of about 2,500 should be safe for this period at the moment, 3k for good measure. Avengers are ok, Bezerkers may need a few more to be safe

I've just slammed us another 100plus on the board.
