Gears 3 Title Update 2

Title Update 2 is already upon us and it seems it's fixed quite a few things and added some rather nice extras too. Prepare for a wall of copy and paste

Improvements
A spectator mode option has been added to private versus matches for broadcasting by gaming leagues.
One player on each team will be able to choose spectator mode during match set up.
The matches will be 4v4 with two spectators
The Leader and Vengeful medals are now easier to acquire.
The mutators Roadie Comet and Regen Enemies are now easier to acquire.
Added an option to disable the HUD during multiplayer games for machinima and video creators
Added a visual indicator of the next ring’s location during the last 10 ring points in KOTH.

Exploit Fixes The Onyx Field Engineer medal can no longer be prestiged.
In Capture the Leader, the overhead Beams on DryDock are no longer accessible.
While affected by the Smoke Grenade stun, players will no longer be able to take hostages, pick up weapons or revive teammates.


General Fixes
If there is a host migration during Horde, the match will resume at the same wave.
Also during Horde, the Combat Engineer ribbon can now be achieved once per wave instead of once per game.
The Ranked Disconnect stat will no longer increase when quitting a standard Horde or Beast game.
The cringe from the Mortar will no longer cause players to drop their primary weapon.
The Hail Mary ribbon is now correctly awarded for long distance Boomshot headshots.
Maps will no longer be immediately repeated when choosing random map selection.
If the host pauses during a private versus match the game will continue for other players.
The game will still pause in the Campaign, Beast and Horde.
Potential fix for the rare lost progress issue.
Potential fix for the rare profile freezing issue.
Beast leaderboard screen no longer refreshes while sending challenges



Great news about the Combat Engineer ribbon. It was a complete ballache getting just the one for an entire game unless you all died.

The Spectator option sounds pretty good for making some quality funny videos.

Most importantly though, the huge reduction in the requirements for the Vengeful and Leader medals. Boosting Vengeful wont be such a chore now, still a chore, but not one of biblical proportions any more.

Looks like some useful updates there.

I boosted the Combat Engineer ribbon with a mate, wish I had just waited for this update now, most of the fixes look good though, only thing that seems pointless is the spectator mode. I'm glad they made the vengeful medal easier, should be able to boost that now without losing the will to live.

I think the spectator mode is for people using video capture for gaming leagues etc

Philip and I had a one match boosting session last night for the Vengeful Medal. In the 20 odd minutes it took I think we got roughly 10 each. Not too bad now the Onyx target is only 100. Perfect map is Checkout as you can cover all the spawn points from the Longshot spawn.

I also found a good boosting method for getting Untouchable ribbons.

Sign a guest into Live and use that as the main account at the start screen. Meaning that profile has control over the game. Use your main profile as the secondary one.

10 seconds capture time
Bots Fill
Difficulty Casual, or higher if you want more of a challenge.

The first match your guest account will be leader, from then on, every single match will have your main account as the leader. You'll have to be a one man army as we all know how inept the bots can be when on your team
