Could there finally be a new Oddworld game on the way?

For those who have not heard of the Oddworld games, they started life as a series of platform games set in a unique world and had a fantastic sense of humour. They were followed by a 3D platformer and an FPS all set in the same world. Well a while back JAW developments announced they would be making some new Oddworld games. Nothing was heard since and although they have ported the past gen entries onto the PSN, there has been little news. However sometime today something is being announced about the Oddworld universe according to twitter, so could this finally be the next part of the planned Oddworld quintology

Be cool to see Abe again. The humour in those games was brilliant.

I hope they do. All of them are great games.The last one, Stranger's Wrath, was supposed to get a digital release. I don't remember seeing it though.

It did on PSN but due to Microsoft's refusal to have XBLA games over 2GB it was never released.

I would say I'll get it on there, but after the hacking thing no freaking way are they getting card details.

Oddworld Munch's Oddysee HD is being released in Q2 2012

Just Add Water is to release an HD version of Oddworld: Munch’s Oddysee.

According to the developer, the Xbox 360 remake will be available in Q2 2012 for PS3 and PSV (PlayStation Vita).

In addition, JAW also revealed that it’ll release another game in the series, adding “we’re starting work proper on a little extra special something called Abe HD.”

this is awesome news loved these games back in the day

I enjoyed Munch's Oddysee! I'll probably buy the remake for the nostalgia!! Should be fun

Aye i saw that but on reading it seems that date is for PS3 and Vita, it may just be the wording but after Stranger's Wrath being only PS3 I have my doubts about it being released on 360 as much as I'd like it to be

Yeah, I see what you're saying! It seems to say, "the remake of the Xbox game Munch's Oddyssee". So it's a bit mis-leading. Seems it's Sony systems only for Q2, with a release on "Other systems", to follow. So I guess we still don't know if it'll make it Xbox for sure.......Unless Leigh knows otherwise?

It says, the xbox 360 remake. And it was a original xbox game. So I'm assuming it's coming out on 360
