Red Dead Redemption 4x XP

Looks like its gonna be a 4x XP weekend on RDR to coincide with American independance day.

Not that i'm gonna get much chance to make any use of it, as i'm gonna be away most of the weekend.

Apparently there's new DLC being released soon too, but they havent revealed any details yet.

Cool, just started playing it again after the last forum game... forgot how much fun it is dealing punishment to those who see my low level and ignore the prestige badge, and then to hear them moan n bitch and accuse me of cheating because i know how to kill them quicker than they can get me

All they've said so far is they wont be giving us online trains or cars, but it will include new locations and characters for online play. Best of all, it's completely free

If you're going after ranking up during the event the best way is grinding out your favourite gang hideout. I always tended to do Pikes Basin as opposed to the other popular one, Twin Rocks. If you get a few like minded people together you'll rack up the XP in no time.
Also, have a look at your journal and your challenges. If you haven't done all of the hideout challenges doing those at the same time will gain extra extra XP

I was going to avoid holding another Red Dead meet so soon after last week but if enough people are interested we could do another one sunday though I'll probably be on most nights for this

i have never played this online so this seems like the perfect time to start. If theres any games going on the weekend and you need people i will happily play.

I got pissed off with the guys who kept just standing in the hideout so I couldn't keep playing it. I only wanted XP .

Went from level 9 to 30 today though in just over 2 hours. Not too shabby

The 2 that started on us Leigh soon set sights on each other and after you rode off into the sunset i watched them from behind a rock lol was quite amusing for 5 mins then toddled off on a wander.. dunno where i ended up but got a few levels out of it
