dead rising 2 case zero

r8 all just wonderd if anybody else will be getting this 400m$ is all looks ok from the pics i've seen.....

It's got zombies in it. I am all over it.

Was worried earlier, when Capcom announced it had been delayed......but that's only for Japan. Still out tomorrow here.

Here's the achievement list.....looks fairly reasonable.

I'll be looking at getting this. Dont know whether to wait and get it so that I can continue straight through with the full game.

Hey guys I am on the fence whether to buy this or not.

The graphics still looked very 2008, what's it like?

Is it easy points or uber hard?

Will anything carry over to the real game?

All of the achievements are fairly easy to get, although one of them requires you to spend a certain amount of money at the pawn shop and the only way I know how to get that much money requires playing the beginning of the game about 3 times. The other 180 gs is easy though and are possible in one playthrough, I did them in 2 though.

I think your Level carries over the real game, it's capped at 5 in this, I'm not sure if anything else does.

The graphics are fine to me, I mean there's so many zombies on screen now it would be impossible to have highly detailed character models and environments and still keep the number of zombies so high.

for 400 ms points I can't complain, really enjoyed it, I'd give it 7 or 8 out of 10, but I'm a big Dead Rising fan anyway.

EDIT: I will say that it took me a while to properly get into it though since I haven't played Dead Rising in a long time, at first I was dying a fair bit so I just focused on getting to level 5 on my first playthrough, after that I had gotten used to game mechanics and that's when I started to enjoy it fully.

Im quite liking my time on this game.

Graphics are a bit meh.. But overall I think its good enough for a purchase

this is well worth 400msp, my only criticism was that it was over too quick and the acheivements are not very challenging. I can't wait for the full game now.

I went through it 3 times, ending F, D and A. Plus half a play to mop up the final achievements. 2hours a playthrough makes 6+hours not bad for a glorified demo.

I can see a lot of companies releasing demo's like this in future. It makes good business sense once they keep the price level at around 400ms points. Releasing a demo in this way certainly encourages people to buy due to 1. The massive appeal of the achievements system and 2. The fact that you are rewarded in the full game (in this case by being able to carry over your progress from the demo)

I am enjoying playing it, in spite of the fact that one of the achievements glitched on me.

Which one did you have the problem with?

Make a combo weapon glitched on me, but i restarted the game and everything was fine. I also thought the create all combo weapons had glitched until i realised there's 9 weapons and i only had 8.

and if the achievements are as easy Dead Rising: CZ, they can expect my moneyz. The demo worked, i would definately buy Dead Rising 2, if Halo: Reach doesn't come out 2 weeks before it........ what it comes out Tuesday, oh well

I didn't get the one for building the bike or escaping the city. When I looked at my achievements, my gamerscore said zero and I had no played games on my list. I signed out and back in again and the achievements reappeared, but my save file was after building the bike. So when I completed the game, I got the one for escaping the town, but not for re-assembling the bike. I had to play it through again to get it. It didn't matter that much as I had to do another playthrough to kill 1,000 zombies anyway.

I didn't experience any problems with this personally, took 2 playthroughs, if you plan your saves carefully its quite easy.

You know how I apparently hate everything released in the last two years? I loved this.

i was going to get it but my friend said the demo area is also the full game area, and its just a case of running back and forth, which put me off

the demo area is no way the full game area, have you not seen any screenshots? case zero is just the prologue to DR2.

no i mean the the demo area is the arcade ful game area, not the actual full title dr2

shouldn't the arcade full game be considered a demo?

He means that the bit of area you get to play in, in the trial for DR: Case Zero, is apparently the only are there is in the unlocked arcade game. So there's nowhere else to go, other than where you went in the trial, multiple times.

I'm not sure if this is true however. I haven't actually spoken to anyone who has the full game, about it.

that makes sense, but nobodys gonna get any cheevos in a trial? hence I would recommend purchasing this as the achievements are easy, and its a blast to play despite the size of the town. and at 400msp this is a steal.
