5 Free Arcade Games / Modern Warfare 2 Glitch

The Xbox 360 version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has had a curious side effect on a handful of Live Arcade games. Infinity Ward's modern military shooter is unlocking the full versions of five SNK games for free.

According to a report on Worthplaying, Modern Warfare 2—the full version of the game and its recently released downloadable demo—unlocked full, freely playable versions of Garou: Mark of the Wolves, The King of Fighters '98: Ultimate Match, Metal Slug 3, Metal Slug XX and Samurai Shodown II. Other SNK games (Fatal Fury Special, Neo Geo Battle Coliseum ) don't appear to be affected by the glitch.

All players need to do is access the demo versions of those SNK games from the guide button while playing Modern Warfare 2 and "quick launch" them.

I think you have to be a bit heartless to take advantage of this glitch. Until they fix it with a patch it's basically stealing

Agreed it is stealing but even worse than that NO ACHIEVES!!

May aswell steal PS3 games or DS games, also literally POINT less

Remember the glitch or whatever it was for FIFA, anyone who took advantage of that glitch received a perma ban.
Please, think carefully about it first. Are a few free arcade games that are probably not very good anyway worth risking getting your gamertag banned from Live for good?

im not telling everyone to actually download em, and im not downloading em myself, i was mearly stating what's possible.

I know a few people who got permanent bans for taking advantage of the FIFA ultimate team glitch. Defo not games that are worth that

I wasn't pointing the finger in accusation. Merely making those who are thinking about it aware of the possible consequences.
Thing is, if this is now public knowledge, which it certainly seems to be, then why hasn't either Activision or M$ done something about it.

Yeah, what he said. If you can't get achievements from the games then it's more like having an extended demo than actually playing the game.

It's like saying you can go to the football for free by standing outside the ground and listening to the match.

id say it was still basically playing the game lol. just cos you dont get a achievement doesnt mean you're not playing it?. I'm also sure that one of those games does give you achievements. Metal Slug I think. Or at least thats what some of the people in the comment box say.

Doing anything that even has a tiny risk of getting a ban is damn stupid.
