Forza 3 - Drift Lap achievement

Anyone else been struggling with this cheev?

I had tried to get this many times when i first got the game, and have since had a go at it every now and then.

And i finally unlocked it this afternoon!

I can't believe they only put a 5g score on this achievement, especially as it takes about 20/30 minutes per attempt.

Awesome. ive been trying for a while to get this cheev. Id be interested in knowing what car and tune you used.
my highest so far is about 50k ish so any help would be gratefully appreciated..

i had had time with it first but then i got silvia and downloaded drift tune up for it made by pros(dun remember how they were called) + watched a video on youtube showing how drifting is done in that game and after that i got 100005 points on first try

Ive spent loads and loads of credits on drift tunes and cars. guess i just suck at drifting

i must have fluked this then because i just got in my skyline(upgraded for speed) didnt worry about no set ups,went on the nurburg track and got 89,000 fist try then 97,000 second try and did it on the 3rd go,my mate did it on his third try also so i presumed it was quite easy.

I used the Mitsubishi HKS Time Attack Evo, i didn't tune it at all, just turned off all the assists.

the key seems to be if you think you could drift better round a corner rewind and try again, there were only a few corners i had to try over and over.

I take it you have to do it in one lap then. Must get back to this game.

i did it pretty easily too, i used a tuned Mits Evo think it was the HKS, i did it on the really long japan track cant remember the name of it.

Yes its 100,000 drift points in a single lap. The most popular track to do it on is the Fujima Kaida track, although some people have found it easier on the Nurburgring, as there are less walls to clip.

i gave up on it, a lot to do for 5g

I thought about giving up on it, but i wanted it out of the way, as i'm starting to get nearer to the 1000g.

the lapper chevo wouldent unlock for me for some reason, i have just over 900g for this game

All done.. it seems as i was actually trying to hard to drift. i watched a load of replays by the "pro" drifters in forza and was trying to copy them.
Anyway just got the last two cheev`s left now. own a car from every manufacturer and get gold in every race in the event list....
