Re: microsoft wireless racing wheel.
I bought a brand new one when they first came out
I never got round to using it
Then M$ had to recall them all to do some sort of fix on them
I sent my brand new one to them, and they returned a used one to me as they were obviously fixing stuff and just shipping out repaired ones on a rotation basis rather than returning your original one
That hacked me off somewhat and so I never bothered with it in earnest
On the couple of goes I have had I noticed that all the advantages of the wheel were undone by the lack of it and the pedals being fixed to things, and I spent most of the time cursing it.
As an owner of a very nice PC wheel and pedals, I think the console versions are a waste of money.
You need to be able to affix the wheel to a desk and then have the pedals at yourfeet whilst you are at a chair otherwise it just does not work properly.
Sitting on a sofa with the thing on your lap does not allow any degree of proper control and so mine is now resting in the great tech cemetry that is my loft.

Cheers for the reply.
I`ve got it setup on a table with an anti slip mat for the pedals. Its not the actual placing of the wheel im looking to sort, its the range of movement of the actual wheel itself. As it is now i feel i have far more control of the car in forza with the gamepad. i went into my profile on the settings bit in forza 3 and you can change the movement values of the wheel, ie dead zone peramiters force feedback ect.
So im looking for those setting rather than the best place to put the actual unit..
My fault, i should of explained that.
