Xbox One will be getting Windows 10 apps soon, says Microsoft
Cortana, Windows 10s' answer to Siri is apparently coming to Xbox One after the Windows 10-powered New Xbox Experience has been fully introduced to Xbox one's, but according to statements made by Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella, the AI/PA might not be the only bit of desktop tech coming to your console.
Speaking to Microsoft Insider, Nadella reportedly said that Windows 10's Universal Applications would be coming to Xbox One "very soon". Microsoft's Universal Apps are pretty simple: download an app for one Windows 10 device - say, your Xbox One - and the same app will pop up on any connected phones, tablets or PCs.
Nadella didn't confirm any specific apps, but based on the current crop, they could be anything from Twitter to Photoshop Express to, er, Sonic Dash. We'd expect to hear more the next time Xbox announces a console update so watch this space.
