A discussion, Are windows apps crap really?

I have been trying to find some I find interesting or useful and beyond WP7 games, a weather app & evernote I don't use anything else.

Others I have downloaded have been very meh.

It winds me up always seeing Iphone apps that I would like to use.
Seems even Android gets the short end of the wedge really.

I hate apple and all they stand for and the way they block tech and hold tech back for an annual upgrade.
I hate itunes like the plague, its not even modern enough.
The fact you can't get flash or use USB of cards is criminal.

BUT you get all the best apps, great apps, useful apps.

I am honestly thinking of buying an ipad2 for £329 from John Lewis with a 2 year guarantee to use for my sofa surfing.

I will get a Win8 tablet on release, but I know I only want it for games and it will have chuff all dedicated apps.

Whats your view guys?

I've got one ap thats awesome. Its called fantasia paint. I've shown it to a few people who have android phones and they wish they had it. Its a photo editing software / paint app. I use it all the time if i want to doodle or improve a photo. A must have on a wp7 phone.

To be honest, I don't use that many apps but I have a few which I use regularly. Manga Reader is one of my favourites and lets me read whatever Manga I want. IMDB I use a lot too as I'm often trying to figure out where I've seen somewhere before. Shazam is the the same thing but for music.

Then again, I've never seen any apps on iPhone I've actually needed or wanted. Maybe its me, but what apps are you actually talking about as you didn't mention any Kent. If you really want to find some apps I'd recommend checking WPCentral regularly as they cover a lot of apps on there.
