Final Fantasy 7 Remake to be episodic

For years fans cried out for a HD remake of Final Fantasy 7. Square Enix said the game is just too big to be remade. That was until PlayStation 4, with added power and RAM. Fans rejoiced at the announcement it was finally happening.
Now it has all but been confirmed Final Fantasy 7 remake will be in episodes. How many? No one knows yet. Square Enix say the game is too big to make just one game out of it and they wouldn't be able to provide the experience they want in just one game.
It's more likely down to budget and time constraints, making games is a business after all.
How do you feel about the remake? Does it being episodic change your mind about it? Would love to know peoples thoughts in the comments.

Once it's all done I'm sure there will be a two disc edition. It sounds better to me than the endless updates to fighting games which all come on a new disc.

That announcement leaves a bad taste in my mouth. I'm not sure how it can work as an episodic release when there is backtracking to be done. I will still get it though when all parts are released.

Will be interesting to see where they go with this..this was the first game I got proper hooked on. Don't think my marriage could handle it again

I can see this going to be more expensive than a normal cost of a game. Cause the fans want it and their are going to exploit it. Wouldn't surprise me they will be at least 10 episodes at £10 each. Hope I am wrong. I'll will wait a little longer untill all the episodes are out.
