Spotify has launched for PlayStation

Spotify has launched for PlayStation Music today, enabling you to stream over 30 million songs and 1.5 billion playlists via the service. PS4 users can even soundtrack their gaming sessions with their own choice of music.

The app launches with Spotify Connect for PS4 and PS3, enabling users to connect to the Spotify app for Android or iOS devices to select playlists, skip songs, adjust the volume and so on.

To access Spotify for PlayStation Music, you need only link your Spotify account to the PlayStation Network and subscribe to Spotify's Premium service (at $9.99/£9.99 a month) if you haven't already.

Music Unlimited subs with active accounts get a two-month trial of Spotify Premium, while new and existing Spotify users who've yet to try Spotify Premium, receive one month free.

"This is just the beginning of Spotify on PlayStation Music, which will continue to evolve," Sony Entertainment VP Eric Lempel writes on the PS Blog. "We are working with the team at Spotify to bring new and exciting features exclusively to our platforms."

It's also exclusive to PlayStation for the "Foreseeable Future"
