Old Ninty goodness
As a few have probably been reading with me picking up some of the old game boy consoles recently I have been playing through some old ninty greats.
Obviously a lot of the mario games are great and some game boy advance mario kart is always a winner.
Donkey Kong Country is an obvious winner for me, and playing some old Pokemon has been great to.
Do any other people on the forum have any old handheld goodness in there collection?
I will get a picture up of all my consoles when i get chance to and share my collection

Re: Old Ninty goodness
The only handheld (old) console I have is a PSP - without the charger. Use to have an original Gameboy with Tetris, but not sure where it dissapeared too

Re: Old Ninty goodness
My handhelds:
Original Game Boy
Game Boy Pocket
GBA SP (x3)
PSP 3000
DS Lite
Sega Game Gear
I also have a Logic 3 Games Power which is just incredible (possible sarcasm here).
There are some awesome games on handheld. If you never played it, the Game Gear version of Sonic 1 is a completely different game to the Mega Drive one. I actually prefer it, but probably only because I know that version better (and it has better end music).
Game Boy - Home Alone is great. Kirby's Dreamland is great. Super Mario Land is the obvious classic.
GBC - Mr Driller - the best game going
GBA - Bubble Bobble Old and New. Probably one of my favourite versions of Bubble Bobble, especially if you have two GBAs, two cartridges and a link cable.
PSP - Mainly used for emulation if I'm honest. I'm sure I have some good games, I just can't think of any off the top of my head...
DS Lite - Enjoyed Phoenix Wright. Tried to play it recently on the iPad and just didn't have the patience. Animal Crossing Wild World was good but just not as good as the original on the Cube. Another Code and Hotel Dusk stick in my head as worthy games. Haven't touched my DS in a long time though.
EDIT: Oh forgot to mention. I am also the proud owner of NSYNC Get to the Show (still shrinkwrapped) on Game Boy Colour. Beat that!

Re: Old Ninty goodness
you have some great stuff there mate by the sounds of it.
I am interested in getting myself a game gear but they are quite pricey at 40 quidish.
Especially if I onl play it now and again.
I picked myself up kirbys dreamland the other day and am looking to play through some of it tonight.
May well pick Mr Driller if I can find a copy and bubble booble for that matter.
And as for your edit oh dear are the only words i have

Re: Old Ninty goodness
The Game Gear is awesome but never ever try to play it using batteries - 6 AAs and it lasts about an hour.
Also, be careful if buying one as it is quite common for the speakers to pack up. Mine have died and that's a Game Gear that has been pretty well cared for AND stored in it's box! You can still get sound through the headphones but it's not the same.
In my defense with the NSYNC game, it was from 99p Stores so I couldn't resist. I also got some Game Gear games at around the same time.
I am trying to cull the collections a bit and actually have some Game Boy games that I intend to sell - I can let you know what I have if you want?
