Fable 3 till the 1st of July then Halo 3 till 16th July with Assassins creed 2. Changing to a new game on the 1st and 16th of every month thereafter.

Both of the upcoming games are triple A titles, very old yes, but still excellent games and great for anyone who hasn't actually played them yet.

This is great news. It'll be interesting to see what's coming next after this lot. I've not started Fable III but it's an awesome start and I can't wait to give it a try.

 I'm sure there are a few people out there that haven't played Halo-3 yet. I know I won't mind warming up my copy to do some Co-Op on it if needed.

With regards to Assassin's Creed II, it could easily have been Assassin's Creed One they offered so it's nice to see them go straight to second one. It's another great series for anyone who's not played it to try out. The second game has a different character to the first too so it doesn't matter if you've never played the series before, as unlike halo you won't have missed anything too major by not playing the previous title.

They still follow on though, as really Desmond is technically the main character. I would definitely say you should play the first one first to fully appreciate the story.

The second game is a LOT better than the first in my opinion though - I don't know if it's just a more engaging story or if Ezio is a better character than Altair or what...

I have only played the first three games though - I still need to get on Revelations and ACIII but am quite looking forward to them after the ending in Brotherhood!

Definitely play AC 1 first to get into the story. It delves very deeply into the whole conspiracy theory regarding the illuminati and the templars etc. That is, if you want to go that deep into it. You don't have to bother. It does get convoluted at times.

The first game is almost like the prototype for things to come. No 2 improves the series in every way really. It can get a bit samey, especially if you want to search for all the flags in the game. There is no way of tracking which flags you have found like there is in subsequent games, so I advise keeping tabs from the very beginning to avoid the situation I was in, where I spent three solid days looking for the remaining blasted things.

 The DLC achieves will cost you 720msp though sadly.

I think its a test game to see how much money they make on the DLC.

Kind of good as I don't have it and I do have Halo 3 and AC2.

However it doesn't fill me with confidence for the rest of the free games as I was under the impression they would all be GoD. Now I know they're chucking in XBLA it could get interesting.

I suppose it might be quite nice if they adopted a system of it always being an XBLA game for the first half of the month, and then always a GoD for the second half. Best of both worlds, as it were.

Probably won't happen like that at all of course!
