GSA's Game of the Year

With the last of this years big releases having passed, its time to start considering which game is going to be the GSA Game of the year. I've created a list of all the releases from this year. So have a perusal and if you think of any I've missed let me know. I'd also like to know if there are any volunteers for writing somethign to suggest why they think their favourite game should win GOTY. Once we've got some volunteers, we'll create a shortlist of the titles and everyone who volunteered can put their argument forward at the end of which we'll have a final poll to see who will walk away the greatest accolade known to man, the GSA Game of the Year award!!

Portal 2 is my single player game of the year and Battlefield 3 is my multiplayer game of the year. I would happily put a case forward for either should they make the shortlist

Mine will easily be Skyrim even though I haven't been on it for more than 30 hours yet

multiplayer for me would be AC: Revs

for single player ill go with forza 4 funny i knoiw but best racer single player i have played for a while and for multiplayer would have to say gears three have loved it this time

One of my favourite years for gaming ever to be honest, shame it's all sequels and not a lot on new IP, but can't complain about more of what we love.

Personal highlights have been Dark Souls, Battlefield 3, Gears 3, Dead Space 2, Bulletstorm, portal 2, Brink, Deus Ex and Dragon Age 2

Wow! I just realised how out of touch I am!

I've only played four of those titles, and the only one i've played to any degree is Gears!

I guess i'm not qualified to comment.

I was going to just do one GOTY, but I think I'll split it into categories for SP and MP and then choose the GOTY out of that. Keep your suggestions coming though, I'll give it till the end of the weekend and then draw up a shortlist, so everyone make your opinion count!

hmm there been that many so i will go with skyrim because for the money u pay for some u get about 8 10 hours single player campain but with this u get lots of hours....

SP - Skyrim.. I hated Oblivion, I tried to play it on 4 different occasions, each time, I played it for 10 or so hours but it never grabbed me.. but Skyrim..? well! its just awesome! haha

MP - Saints Row 3 - One of the funniest, OTT games around, and doing co-op just makes the experience a lot better

sp -dead space 2...... just love the whole atmosphere of the game
mp-crysis 2 .... its the only one ive realy played extensively

My choice would be Portal 2, Really enjpyed the story on the single player. The writing is brilliant funny and clever. Also the Co-op campaign is some of the most fun i have had with my pants on. Loved every second of it!

Second that. Doing the co-op with you was one of the best experiences Xbox live has ever given me. So much fun

Pes2012 and BF3, Hands down.

I haven't played too many from the list but I'm having a really difficult time deciding what I'd choose for game of the year because there have been some amazing games released.

I probably have to go with Gears 3 for multiplayer because it's the only multiplayer I really enjoy.

Single player would be either Dead Space 2 or Bulletstorm. Portal 2, Shadows of the Damned and Forza 4 all deserve a mention though because I really enjoyed all of those games.

Batman Arkham city for me... although i havent played much of it due to buying everything else thats come out! Still thats the one id recommend to anyone.

Although, Bulletstorm is Highly underrated and now its cheap thats a purchase people wont be dissapointed with.

Single player, Deus Ex.

Multiplayer, Battlefield 3.

I would be torn between Gears-3 and Portal-2 but would lean more towards Gears-3 for it's massive replay-ability and four-five player Co-Op fun in campaign and horde.

Only just seen this as I've been away I'd say probably Portal 2, BF3, Batman, Fight Night Champion off the top of my head, I'm yet to play MW3, Skyrim or Assassins creed yet though so I am going to reserve judgement!
