Halo 4 confirmed for Xbox 360 not 720

An interview published today from 343 industries head honcho has confirmed that Halo 4 will be on this generation of machines and not a release title for the next Xbox console as some rumours had suggested. This equates to two new ideas. Either Halo 4 is quite far into production already or that the 360 still has a couple of years life left!

despite all the recent rumours I keep hearing about 2013 the next xbox isn't due till 2015 and that has been Microsoft's standpoint for the past 18 months.
