Arkham City
Just wanted to voice my early opinions on this game.
There is too much to f@#ing do!
Its weird to say but its kind of a bad thing and a good thing at the same time but seriously you try to do something in this game and you get so distracted by everything and everything going on around you!
I fly over a building to the next checkpoint in the story and oh there's a riddler trophy! Someones getting attacked! Im getting attacked! There's a phone ringing and you have to answer!
Such as it is though all I can think of doing is getting home to play some more, love it.
Anyone looking to 1000 this has there work cut out for em. Looks like some serious skills to complete this one.
In sheer content, the Campaign Mode and Riddler's Revenge modes will easily pay for themselves on the price of admission, and the New Game +, alternate characters and varied difficulty options give Arkham City a substantial amount of replayabiltiy. The plot stays interesting and the side-missions were given just much attention to detail and the presentation is still top notch.
Even if you leave it till next year this is a must buy game.

Re: Arkham City
I totally agree about there being a too much going on at once. And it becoming a distraction.
I started off loving this game, but i feel i am already starting to lose interest. Everything about the game is very good and very polished, and the bigger game area is great. Its just that with so much going on, within a short time of starting to play, i start to feel a bit lost with it all. And end up going back to some Gears 3.
I hope as i get further into the game my interest picks up a bit more, the game is certainly gonna be a big task to max (reminds me i need to finish off Arkham Asylum at some point).

Re: Arkham City
This is what I didn't like about Arkham Asylum. Just too many things going off and too many distractions for me to actually get into the story line. I got bored quickly and although I tried pushing through I just ended up quitting.

Re: Arkham City
Thanks for the feedback on this, sounds like one I will give a miss.
Plus the fact I have barely even started the last game as I got bored.

There wasn't too much going on in Arkham Asylum was there?? there was just the main storyline, riddler trophys etc and the spirit of arkham things.. lol
Although this one is epicly distracting.. I still love it though
Re: Arkham City
There is if you get distracted easily, but it's easy enough just to stick to the story.
knowing there are gamerpoints by doing a simple task just around the corner gamers like us will always go for the points and lose track of the story it's our own fault.

Re: Arkham City
Has anyone heard whether the Robin Bundle Pack DLC will eventually be on the marketplace, or is it just a Game (and gamestation) exclusive?

It's available to all for 560 points on November 22nd.
However before that we're getting Nightwing DLC on the 1st.
Also, my thoughts on the game......It's great. I'm not too far into it just yet, but I agree with it being a little too overwhelming. I was trying to track down Mr Freeze, then accidentally ran into Bane, then spent an age trying to figure out if I could get a particular Riddler trophy yet or not. I'm hoping once I'm done with the main story I'll be able to just amble around finishing off sidequests and trophys before putting it to one side for a while before going back for new game+.

Re: Arkham City
Well i'm not gonna give up on it just yet, but think i'm just gonna stick to the main story Arc, and not go chasing cheevos.
Then i can play the rest of it and mop up any loose cheevos later.
As for the DLC, i'm not sure wether i'll bother yet, will depend how much fun the challenge maps turn out to be!
