Crysis difficulty glitch

A warning to anyone buying Crysis, sometimes the difficulty cheevs won't trigger.This is very frustrating cos I thought I'd completed it on Hard, only to find it was actually set to normal. I also started a run through on Delta, did the first act and no achievement.
