Sending Machine to Microsoft Empty Sending Machine to Microsoft

Post  Stiffyuk Sun Apr 19, 2009 3:52 pm

Hi

My machine is now not reading any discs so I have requested a repair to my machine, but I was wondering what I need to put my machine in to arrange the postage of the unit? i.e. is a box needed?

Am I reading it correctly that I need to send this to Microsoft myself?

Regards

Stiffy

you do need to pack just the console (no hdd or leads) in a box with packing or newspaper to keep it safe, you should very soon get a postage label sent to you and a ups courier will pick it up and a week or so later it will get back to you.hopefully.

Cheers Woodlin.

When I arranged the repair it said the label will be sent via email and I would be emailed when the empty box is sent. Do you know what that means? Are they sending me a box. I walk to Rymans tomorrow to get a box otherwise.

Cheers for the help.

David

Most people to get sent boxes.
Doctor mambo got sent a box, but I had to use my own box for mine last year.
Just do whatever M$ said to do buddy.

If you phone them up and order a repair that way UPS normally bring a box and labels with them so when the driver turns up you can send it away there and then.
