Forza 3 game save lost!!!!!!!!!!

I am down at my Nan's place using my other 360 and today decided to load up Forza 3.
Well after installing it and starting the game my save data had gone!!!
Basically it made me start from scratch again
I am GUTTED
Hopefully this is because you can't play the game on 2 xbox's at the same time, but I am very worried.
Anyone heard of any similar problems before?
When I get back home later this week I will be praying for salvation
Please god of gamesaves, save me from this pain!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No my save game was on a memory stick I brought with me so I could play on my other console by the sea

I wouldn't be surprised if it is something to do with trying to play the game on another xbox. I've never actually heard of this though so I don't really know. Hopefully you haven't lost your save.
