New Team Compo

First topic message reminder :

After the success of the last compo, I am thinking of running another but with a slight variation

I think that it would be better run over only 3 days so we can make it a Friday/Sat/Sun thang. This will allow folks working to have a chance to play to the full too and will keep it more focussed.

I am also thinking it might be good to run it on a Team basis for a bit of us vs them rivalry and ribbing etc!


So we could run two or more teams and get the battle commenced some time in July if anyone is interested

My thoughts would be maybe to have a North vs Sarf battle or folks could select team captains and the captains could then pick their sides from all the entrants the same way we all used to pick sides for footy at skewl lol


Any thoughts/interest?

We need 3 team captains too

The sarf have the GSA imperial leader KH as guvnor. Anyone in the other 2 sections that wants to be the spearhead of attack please let me know.

This compo wont be for a little while so you all will have lots of time to prepare etc and I will try and hold it at a time thats convenient to as many members as possible

Not sure which team we should be signing up for as were mid... And north of watford means nothing to me and i'm too lazy right now to turn the computer on and look it up... On phone.

I'm originally from Doncaster so Nothern. And I spent a good percentage of my life there.

But now I live in Littlehampton which would be Southern.

ok if you are uncertain about which team you want to support then indicate that when you select your initial choice of group

That way if there is a massive imbalance then I can adjust some folks to their other team

I'll be up for this depending on the date. I hope to up my performance after the last comp as well, might have to do the unthinkable and rent some of those old EA sports games or something.

Just a forewarning to the people who are on my team. Just cos I won the last one doesn't mean I will win this one. I have less games to play this time, and can't really afford to by more atm, so I'll be sticking with the games I already have, and trying to squeeze as many achievements as I can.

I definitely won't be getting 13,000gs in a week again lol. Almost killed me last time. I'd be happy with around 5k tbh.

Folks are asking about dates

Well the earliest it will be is 15-17th July.

Any weekend including that or later ones is possible

Just trying to gauge the levels of team members etc at the moment

Sorry if it all seems to take a while but I like to get everything nice and smooth for GSA! I am also going to try and automate the data collection this time so the whole thing can be used for anyone else who might want to run a similar event in the future.

I will have a pro rata basis for the totals so as long as each team has a min of say 5 peoples it does not really matter how many are in each side.

Hmm... CZ is originally from Essexs... and I'm half Irish so could go for any team...

We'll stick with North as that's where we are now lol
