Cloud storage coming to xbox

Cloud storage will allow you to enjoy the same great Xbox LIVE gaming experience even when you’re not in your own living room by giving you the option to store your “game saves” securely in the Xbox LIVE cloud instead of on a portable memory unit or your console’s hard drive. Gone are the days of “gamertag recovery.” Now all you need to do is sign in, no matter where you are!

Handy for when you are at a mates house too, I stayed at a mates house a while ago and we completed halo 3 legendary and I had to use his sisters gamertag

My friend comes over and we game, it usually takes about 20 -40 mins (depending on time of day etc) for his gamertag to load, so I hope this speeds that up!

I found the USB flash drive support they added great for gamertag transfer between consoles, but this would be cool as you wouldn't have to remember to bring the key etc...

Sony Plus already offer this and glad we are catching up.

Most places now are offering a few gigs of free Cloud storage and there is no reason why M$ will charge.

I might be proved wrong, but the small amount of space needed for gamertag and game saves would be a doddle to giveaway

Even Apple are giving away 5gig of cloud for syncing and they never do owt for nowt!

This sounds like a great idea, and theres no real reason why it can't be free, as the amount of data wouldn't be that high.

They could alway charge you a small fee, if you wanted more space. Or add it onto the Subscriptions, Like Kent said we could see the appearance of a Platinum or similar membership. Especially with some of the other servicve being lined up for xbox live.
