Bought a Ninty 3ds yesterday

And have just finished setting it up

The only game i have at present is dragon Quest IX as didn't have enough for anything else and Legend of Zelda ain't out till June :/
My daughter has a few games but like hell if im playing with a virtual dog lol

Is it any good though?

I have a DS, do I need to get a 3DS??

Has anyone early buyers kept playing it??

If you are at home alot like me would you even use it I guess I mean??

I still use mine on my commute. Don't really spend enough time at home to play it there. Mainly using it to play DS games I have missed over the years

Bought the son a ds for xmas it's get touched about once a week im so tempted to rebuy a psp pes soccer on the go was amazing

I got mine on launch day and it is a great machine, 3D effect is very impressive and I've had a lot of use out of it, mainly just sitting on the sofa at home, Pilotwings is good fun, and Ridge Racer and SSFIV are both great versions. The only downside st the moment is the lack of games but then Zelda is coming out in a few weeks and amongst other things Starfox, Mario and Mario kart are all pencilled in for a 2011 release so the future is looking bright for the system

I'd recommend any one thinking of getting one to pop down to your local asda and test it first.

I dont think I will get on with the 3D element at all after trying it. I'd have the 3D turned off most the time as it messed with my eyes a little (hough not having the right glasses at the mo probably didn't help that)

I find the 3D depth slider essential for getting the 3D to a comfortable level and it seems to vary for me depending on the game, and I find that I need to use the depth slider to get the right effect with pilotwings I have to have it pretty low as when I have it a bit higher it sends my eyes funny, Ridge Racer I have it around half way and Street Fighter I have it on full

Seeing the 3d in effect on full had me blinking my eyes and going funny in the head (more than usual lol) but have now found the right position for me, just below halfway.
The games i saw wasn't exactly my thing.. got Lego pirates on xbox so why play again.. they didn't have pilotwing one.. wasn't that a snes/n64 title .. think i remember it. If it is the one im thinking of i'll defo be getting that then... really want to see Blast Corps re done.. miss that game soooo much

Yep pilotwings is a sequel to the old Snes and N64 games,

As far as the 3D effect goes I've found that I've got more used to it the more I've played the system

I do want a 3ds. But thats because I got most of the other handhelds.
