For god sake, anyone who has played Portal 2 will realise how stupid this is in the context of the game, and rather than 'making fun' of adoption its actually giving some serious clues about the identity of Chell in the wider half life universe...

I really do wonder how these people get anywhere whilst being so ignorant. Out of context the line could seem offensive,but, if they bothered to do their research they'd know , there is malice or discrimation intended.

I think that him making a big deal out of it and going to the press is going to make his daughter feel far more alienated and 'out of place' than a comment in a game. He's pointing it out to the world 'look at me and my adopted child' making a big deal of it will make her more uncomfortable than the games comments. He's just another w@nker after money and his 15 mins in the spotlight.
