Best and Worst games in the comp?
Was wondering what everyones favourite and least favourite games were in the comp. Some of the games I played were absolure stinkers, and will never grace my presence again.
Some of them actually suprised me and I actually really enjoyed them.
Top 3 games:
Kung Fu Panda
Jericho (Really underrated)
Ben 10
Worse 3:
Jumper
Spongebob: Truth or Square
Hannah Montana
It was hard to pick between HM and Cars, but cars had a few good races, and no teenage girl riding a horse saying, Yippee and Wahoo every 3 seconds.

I must admit I had a bit of a giggle ( well more of a guffaw really ) when I signed in and saw you playing Hannah Montana

Best.....
Up....surprisingly solid platform fun. Nothing too taxing and all of the collectables were easy to find.
Madden 08......when half the achievements popped after just one simulated match it was awesome. Game itself is fun too. Pay no attention to the rules and just RUN for the goal!
Where the Wild Things Are.....sames as with Up, although a little harder. Haven't really done much with this yet though.
Worst....
Jumper....everything has been said about this already. How did this make it past testing?
Truth or Lies......awful. Unresponsive shite. What is the point in a game like this when it cannot tell the difference between a truth and a lie??
X-Men: The Official Game......Official Game? Officially shite.

Re: Best and Worst games in the comp?
I completly agree with you about Jericho, i picked it up being a fan of Clive Barker and was pleasantly suprised after reading so many bad things about it how good it actually was!
As for my best and worst games, well I think my favourite game by far has been Shank. If you like old 70 and 80's grindhouse movies like the films that inspired Kill Bill (which heavily influenced Shank), you'll love this game, plus the co-op game is completly different to the single player and i had one of the best nights gaming in a long time when my mate popped round for the evening!
Also as honourary mention is the entire MegaDrive back catalog I've been playing. So many good memories and still a lot of fun now, though they do seem a little shorter than I remember them being.
Worst game by far was Interpol. I picked it up as it was an easy 200 and it goes towards my point n click badge on 360 voice, however, hidden object games will give you a headache when your scanning a large tv for them.
Other than that all the games have been pretty good which shows how much effort is put into XBLA titles. I've actually really enjoyed the comp just to clear the backlog of games and 3,500GS isn't too bad either!

Re: Best and Worst games in the comp?
Well i've done pretty poor really in this comp, only maxed out one game. Shrek the Third, and although its not a bad game, i think its sapped any will i had for whoring easy games. As i just got fed up of playing it...

Fave:
Portal
Wanted
Harms way - because it took 5 mins lmao. Got lucky as there was a random online so got the online cheevs too
Worse:
CSI:Fatal conspiracy
CSI: Hard Evidence
Truth or lies was annoying but it didn't take long to get most of the cheevs, there were only 2 I had trouble with and gave up on so it doesn't make my worse. 7 hours on csi is much worse!

Re: Best and Worst games in the comp?
I was using a video guide for CSI Fatal Conspiracy. My computer is connected to my TV, as is my xbox, so I had to switch channels whenever I wanted to watch bits of the guide, and then switch to the game and play, then switch back to the guide etc. So I was effectively playing the game twice :/. I finally worked out that just reading the text guide and remembering a few lines at a time went a hell of a lot quicker.
Case 1 took me about 3 hours, case 2 took about 2, then I realised I could skip dialogue so 3 and 4 only took about an hour each lol. Still one to go, but it's really boring.

i really struggled to stay awake join the csi games just mind numbingly boring
i enjoyed sega mega collection brought back so good memories and rio is not a bad little game not what i expected .the whole game is a series of 4 player mini games ,no hard achievements but you do need four controllers
hated pirates of the caribbean at worlds end crappy controls, crappy camera angles, crappy game

Re: Best and Worst games in the comp?
I forgot just how bad a "BAD" game really is. My will was totally sapped by the infamous Jumper! Then, i was totally annoyed by the really stupid Terminator Salvation. It made me realise how little design touches can annoy the hell out of the player, like starting a level facing the wrong way and as a result, being shot to pieces by an enemy behind you because you don't know which way you're supposed to be running! I really appreciate well designed games after this week.
The best game I played this week was Cloudy with a chance of meatballs. I found it a charming little game, and after the other tosh I've experienced it felt like a piece of programming genius!
I also picked up Jericho like some of you guys but I didn't get round to it yet. I was saving the best till last!

Re: Best and Worst games in the comp?
the better game that i have played this week would probably have to be a toss up between TMNT and like Colne cloudy with a chance of meatballs.
The worst of the few that i managed to get in was probably nba 2k6 then bloody 20 rebounds cheevo really slowed me down over the weekend otherwise my score may have been higher............he says

I should have said, thanks Stubby for the recommendation! I borrowed it from a guy at work. Borrowed most of the whorers actually apart from Jumper and NBA 2k6.

Re: Best and Worst games in the comp?
Best games for me were:
1. Iron Man - also loved the film
2. Disney·Pixar UP - also loved the film
3. The Bourne Conspiracy - also loved the film (but should have used a guide to collect the passports, but was enjoying it too much)
Worst games were:
1. Ratatouille - worst game i ever played. Dont know how this can be called a 'kids' game. Was the hardest game i have ever played.
2. Madden NFL 10 - found out i cant play american football games unless i sim them aka Madden NFL 08.
3. Planet 51 - thought this would be a quick easy kids game. It was easy but took forever to get achievements. Plus the annoying repetitive speech throughout the game nearly drove me mad.
At least i finally got to 50k gamescore during the comp, so even if i dont win anything i still feel i achieved something
