when trading old stuff pays off
i was sorting through some old dvs and games this week and decided that i was gonna see what exchange value that i could get for them at my local cex store.
To my surprise i was offered £356.20 absolute result was not even expecting £100 and with the cash i have just got myself a nex slim xbox 250gb and a kinect i think excited is an understatement

So your original total cost was about £400??
and you got £350 back???
But they give really low prices for trade ins.
How is this possible mate? we need more details on what dvd were traded and how you did not lose loads on them.

a lot of the stuff that was traded were old tv and animation boxsets a lot of which i bought from ebay and the prices that i were getting on trade in were only a couple of pounds less than what i paid for them.

Oh cool, makes more sense now.
I am almost thinking we should setup our own swapshop again as one persons junk is another persons gold.

my pad must be the legendary lost gold mine then as I have been a buyer and hoarder for many years to my eternal shame....
in fact now when I come home I have to shout Open Sesame to get in
Luckily I have reached a point whereby my self loathing has gotten the better of my greed and so I am now a purchase free zone for a while, apart from the odd cheapo live deal

If we can organise swaps again it would be good, as I have a few games I don't want I know people on her would fancy. At least now we have a better idea the sort of people / offers that shouldn't be allowed.
If not we should allow linking up to eBay listings as at least that is heavily regulated by eBay and paypal. Just need some sort of site disclaimer.

Re: when trading old stuff pays off
yes it was a shame one person spoiled the swapsy section as a few times i did a few swaps worked out well.
This time id say if there was a swap section the most newest member sends there game 1st as us regulars are trustworthy
