Tiger Woods 11 - Game killing bug.

Just a heads up as this has now happened to both me and Kent.

Tiger Woods 11 sometimes corrupts the save file leaving you with an invisible golfer. This can be entertaining (ask Kent or try one of his challenges) and also seems to give unlimited XP and high stats. This is good but the fact you can no longer continue as your created golfer is annoying. I didn't realise the XP thing and deleted the golfer and started again.

To avoid this then regularly copy all Tiger save data to a USB pen or memory unit and remove it to ensure the game doesn't corrupt the wrong save. Hopefully EA will test a little better for Tiger 12.

I was nuclear peed off to lose my golfer!

But on the flipside I played the greatest game of golf known to man!

With an invisible golfer I played 18 holes in 29 UNDER PAR!!!

Now this means I could not see any club being swung or ball being hit and had to guess how long to press the stick for.

I did work out if you buy some new stat boosting clothes you can see him again but he remains invisible even though his clothes are seen.

I am just a beard with eyebrows, quite spooky!

Thanks for the heads up, I just started playing at the weekend so will back up my save next time I boot it up.

Woohoo found a fix! If you go into manage golfer and then load it should allow you to find your original golfer and get them back. Also allows you to continue with Player 1 (default name assigned to invisible golfer)

Lol i never experienced any of this during my career but then again ive not done career for months so I will need to get back on it! lol

Sorry about that (Everton and everyone else I spammed with that recently), you get XP to build up your character by sending out invites to your friends.

Don't worry about it Mambo, i've received the same message about half a dozen times, from different people. I guessed it was probably tied to a stupid achievement.

I have never sent out an invite to gain in game XP, honest
