More DLC planned for Mass Effect 2 Empty More DLC planned for Mass Effect 2

If you boot up Mass Effect 2 right now, you'll see a noteworthy message from the Cerberus Daily News on the main menu. (You know, the thing with scrolling text on the right of your screen. That!)

The daily content updates are coming to a close on January 24, excluding a week of posts leading up to "a downloadable content release" and an additional two weeks that lead into Mass Effect 3's launch. So, more add-on content is on the way later this year.

Previously, BioWare talked about DLC bridging ME2 and ME3 -- there's a decent chance this could be that exact content, assuming the studio's plans haven't changed in recent months. Here's hoping for something substantial.

Here's hoping for a Awakenings size expansion style DLC

Yeah I noticed this when I logged in yesterday. Looking forward to it as Bioware really put the effort into DLC in terms of fleshed out characters, varied missions and impressive cut scenes.

I can see this release coinciding with the inevitable GOTY edition of the game. While it would be good for an Awakenings equivalent sized DLC I think the £30 (3200 ms) price tag would not be appealing so late in the games life cycle. Awakenings came out before most of the cheaper DLC.
