warhammer 40k space marine

a new game that is due in the spring next year based on the board game warhammer 40k. Looks like a very cool first person shooter hope it turns out to be good.

Any former Games Wrokshops geeks (like myself) will probably like the look of the special edition..........

Though it's going to be quite pricey, £90 on Play and £79.99 at Gamestation

i have it on pre order Well not the geeky CE lol

i really like the look of this game and that special edition looks awesome but at that price i will not be getting it.

But there is no doubt that it will go down at some point so may get it then

Yeah me too.. was into the board games back in high school, and whilst I certainly cant be bothered with the time or expense for it these days I've still retained a fondness for 40K, so yes, hope this turns out to be a decent game!

Aye I'm looking forward to this, especially when i saw one of the pre-order skins was my dear old Space Wolves!! Doubt I'll be able to get it on release but at a later date will certainly pick up!

OMG my mouth is watering at the thoughts of actually being able to play a 40k title on the xbox, I will openly admit spending most of my saturdays from 14 onwards until about 16-17 at the local games workshop waiting for my turn to bring out my (badly painted) Space Wolf army and defend the Emporers Honour on the battlefield against Orc, Eldar, Genestealer and later Tyranid as well as the accursed Chaos.

I am hoping due to all the release dates being postponed constantly (ok maybe once or twice) that they will have ironed all the bugs out and made this title what it should be. This is my most eagerly awaited title since SW:TFU 2 (which i was slightly disappointed with, although the first was on a par with someone murdering jar jar binks before he met ben kenobi and qui'gon jin thus ending his role in SW before it started).

That collectors edition advertised on Zavvi doesnt say anything about a space wolf skin though?????

Hmmmm the space wolf skin just applies to online play.....I was never a fan of the ultramarine chapter, they seemed well just too boringly run of the mill, Space Wolves, Dark Angels, Blood Drinkers I could play as but Ultramarines? Which oddball picked that chapter? Out of 1000 chapters throughout the empire why them? In fact why out of the 20 founding chapters them? I'm a bit miffed about that to be honest grrrrrr. I'd love the spec edition but I dont feel like buying it know as it looks as though it contains all sorts of Ultramarine stuff it's enough to join Horus!

If you have a half decent PC to run it you should check out the Dawn of War series, they are amazing games. And best of all Dawn of War 2 has 2000 gamerscore attached to it
