whats been your favourite Arcade and Full price Game you played this year
(not too fussy if it was not released this year but try and keep them recentish)


For me best arcade was Alien Breed Tower Assault 2

best full price was Mafia II with Split Second a close Second

And your worst/hated title for 2010?

For me it was the utter shite that was Truth or Lies
not even an easy 1000 made it nice

my top 3 retail are

in 3rd place... F1 2010
in avery close 2nd place... Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood
And in first place.......... Red Dead Redemption

Mine favourites this year all came out dead early:

1 - Mass Effect 2
2 - Bioshock 2
3- Bayonetta

Didnt play a lot of arcade games to be honest but Dead Rising case Zero was good.

Worst games - Kane and Lynch 2 and Medal of Honor

lol I've barley played any games this year so I'd say

Retail:
In First : Fabel 3 - Although fable 2 was deffo better
In Second: Split Second
In Third: Assassins Creed 2

Arcade:
Plants vs zombies
Peggle

Best retail game - Red Dead Redemption, nothing comes even close to matching this for me.

I'd have to say the second best game I've played this year is probably Dantes Inferno, not a popular choice but I thoroughly enjoyed it and will probably pick it up again if it gets to within a few quid of a tenna.

I don't usually bother with arcade games so can't really comment. Only one I've bought this whole year has been the new Pinball game.

As for worst game/biggest disappointment, that's gotta be Aliens vs Predator. Had such high hopes for that and it was just awful on every level.

Arcade is such an easy choice with the awesome Plants Vs Zombies

Retail- 2nd- Blur

1st place the stonkingly good Shift

worst is the first game I refused to review it was so shit- Quantum Theory

I would also rate Red Dead Redemption as my retail game of the year, few games have grabbed my attention so much and kept me playing for hours and hours.

In 2nd place i would probably put F1 2010, as a Formula 1 fan i had high hopes for this game. And gladly it didn't dissapoint, I know it has its little niggles, but its a great start to what could become a fantastic franchise.

I haven't got an arcade game of the year, as the main arcade game i play is still Trials HD...

Number 1 would be the Effect that is Mass 2(squared lol) but loved the first just for it, or the illousion of it being bigger..
Number 2 Would be Red dead, just an awesome story line with engaging caracters, and the dlc just makes it even more... with Enslaved close to it
Number 3... is hard to decide, i will always put Blur over SS everytime, but there's also N4S hot tomatoes lol .. there are so many other games i have played it wouldn't be fair to single one out in just 3.. so will let you put your own in the blank lol

Mafia 2.. i just didn't like it, sorry lol
I tend to aviod bad games, so can't really think of anything atm.. most games i will play just for the cheebles

1) DeathSpank
2) Pinball Fx2
3) Pac Man CE DX.. only played the trial version but loved it
Comic Jumper would have made it, it is good, but even on easy it so smeggin hard sometimes

REtail:

1 - Mass Effect 2

0 - Either F1 or Vanquish. Both cheap assed fuckers. F1 nearly made me hate the sport. It had to go.

Arcade:

1 - TMNT

0 - None, really. I've only got three (TMNT, Limbo and Bomberman)

Worst game? Dream Chronicles

This is tricky my best game of the year has to be

1. Red Dead - Great game and love everything about still lots for me to play as well
2. Mafia 2 - Great story for the game and plenty to do. Lots of DLc still coming for this great game
3. Split Second - Great racer and loved every minute of it. I still havnt got the full 1000gs either lots left to play.

Arcade is hard for me as i havnt played many this year but will have to be

1. Dead rising Case 0
2. Peggle - Not sure if it is this year but i only bought this year. Very addictive
3. Feeding Frenzy 2 - Again not sure of this year but one i like to keep playing

Just an edit to my post the worst game that i have played this year has to be Naughty Bear! This game was awful and should not of even graced my box but i saw easy points what a mistake that was

I think Dead Rising Case 0 might be the only arcade game I've played this year, it was a good one though.

hard to think of the worst game I've played this year, but I really couldn't get into Crackdown 2, I wouldn't really say it's bad though, it just wasn't my kind of game.

Red Dead Redemption

Untouchable.

For me it would be:

1 = Halo:Reach

2 = Mass Effect 2

3 = Red Dead Redemption

I love everything Halo so that's a given although Reach is by far the best of the Halo games so far. Mass Effect beats out Red Dead because I'm just more in to my Sci-Fi then my Cowboys. I don't play arcade games so can't rate them and I don't buy enough games to bother getting the bad ones

Games I remember most enjoying that I've played this year are Alan Wake, Blur and Bad Company 2. Just can't remember if they were actually released this year or towards the end of last.

i'd have to say my top 3 would be

Mass Effect 2
Fallout New Vegas
Deadly Premonition ( my marmite game of the year )

I think so far it looks like Mass Effect 2 closely followed by Red Dead Redemption would be the forums choice of GOTY. Good choices guys

arcade would have to be "boost is a go" HYDRO THUNDER...(but i am a dreamcast veteran)
and full priced would be BLUR....
I do need to put more time into gaming though..

Well CNN shoes exactly why M$ found it difficult to make the 360 the number 1 games console.

To make Heavy Rain number 1 game is laughable. I put about 3 hours into it and was rewarded by a pointless storyling, overhyped graphics and a pap control system. It would not make my top 25 games of the year.

But the rest of the list looks very familiar and it seems the RDR is the real GOTY 2010. I have it and the DLC and so I think its time I started it to see what the fuss is about.

What was nice about the GSA poll was the variety of choices you all had. It shows I think that the overall quality for our 360s has increased again and I cant wait for 2011. (Not that I have to wait that long now lol)

The Missis is currently playing Mass Effect 2 and she keeps telling me how amazing it and that I'll love it, even though I didn't find the first one any fun to play.

Next year is already shaping up to bring us all another stellar list of great games to enjoy with Dead Space 2, Gears 3 and the recently announced and confirmed Mass Effect 3. All we need now is Colonial Marines to live up to everyone's high hopes and we're laughing.

there was also alot of good games that come out with no hype at all which did well.
