Fallout: New Vegas - Dead Money DLC
Fallout: New Vegas senior designer Chris Avellone has been talking about the upcoming ‘Dead Money’ DLC pack, divulging some interesting information. The DLC will take place in ‘Sierra Madre’, an “opulent and extravagant resort that was supposed to be the greatest casino in the west”. Unfortunately it never got to open as when the bombs fell they caused Sierra Madre to go into lockdown, trapping people inside. As time went by the climate control system started leaking toxins into the air, and the only people to survive were the Hazmat wearing ‘Ghost People’, who never utter a word to their victims as they drag them into the depths.
Dead Money is out now and available to download here for 800M$ Points.

Re: Fallout: New Vegas - Dead Money DLC
I played it on the night of release..
Well i was going to, when i entered the area it says it's a one way trip until you finish it's story arc so no going back to the wastelands.. and it reccomends that you be at least a Level 20 before starting...
Suffice to say i picked up my bags, turned around and began to level up some more lol can't wait to try it, sounds fun

Re: Fallout: New Vegas - Dead Money DLC
I've downloaded it so that its there for when I'm ready to start it.
It does raise the level cap to 35, and I think there's a few new perks that you can select when you level up on the even levels. Sadly with it only raising to level 35 I'm already nearly there again, I hate getting no XP
I didn't realise it was a one way ticket until you do that bit of the storyline, although I'm still busy exploring and trying to work out wtf is going on in the main storyline cos I've done so many side quests I have no idea what is actually the main storyline! lol

Re: Fallout: New Vegas - Dead Money DLC
Are these DLC's actually worth it?. I've always thought Fallout 3's were a little steep, though I never actually played them. How much more gameplay do they add?.

Re: Fallout: New Vegas - Dead Money DLC
tbh I don't think I've done any of the Fallout 3 dlc's yet, I waited until I could get the GOTY edition for £20 and didn't download any of them, I'll probably do the dead money one this time and then get myself back on Fallout 3 to do the DLC that was on that

Re: Fallout: New Vegas - Dead Money DLC
You don't have to finish the games main story arc to play this story, it just means you are there for the duration of the story for Dead Money, Then you are taken back to the Wastelands and are able to carry on with the game proper..
I don't think it will spoil or change anything in the main game either
