Fallout: New Vegas
did anybody else pick this up on friday?
ive got to say because it stays so flumping true to gameplay of fallout 3 i love it, change pipboy colour to green and its like you never left fallout 3 lol
i dont think new vegas is as big as washington was though i could be wrong, hoping to find alot of easter eggs and little references to all sorts of stuff like F3
SO IS everyone enjoying it and did anyone get the collectors edition?

Re: Fallout: New Vegas
Changing the colour to green was one of the first things i did lol
I must admit i started on normal, and after a time (i was a level 7) i got to a point i couldn't get past, the missions i had to get to were often surrounded by nasty besties.. so started again last night on easy lol not looking forward to Hardcore tho
Didn't get the collectors edition, saving my money for the Fable 3 version.

Re: Fallout: New Vegas
I've put about 4.5 hours in to it now and reached somewhere around level 4. It's almost exactly the same as Fallout 3. I played all the DLC from day one in Fallout 3 so could be considered quite an addict. It does seem more buggy than Fallout 3, with lots of graphics glitches, still no crashes yet. The world seems more compact, and the opening story isn't as deep but still feels like a rich world begging to be explored!

Re: Fallout: New Vegas
I've somehow put about 28 hours into this game so far, not sure how since I was out most of the weekend. so far I would say Fallout 3 was a better game, New Vegas is good though but I don't seem to be as interested in the story and with the map being smaller and more compact I'm finding new locations all the time but don't seem as interested in exploring them as much as I would have in Fallout 3.
as for the bugs, I've noticed a few, occasional framerate issues, enemies stuck in the ground, static enemies with no collision enabled, and a few others. the game has only crashed once though so far, but I have noticed that the loading screens seem to last a lot longer after playing the game for several hours without a break, probably a cache issue or something.
overall though it's a good game and anyone who enjoyed Fallout 3 should definitely enjoy this one.

Re: Fallout: New Vegas
Apparantly the caching issue is a known thing, but from what I heard, the patch that came out for it the other day, should of fixed that..?
Re: Fallout: New Vegas
put nearly 30 hours into this game and sooo enjoying it, got the perk that shows all the locations and WOW the map is so compact its kinda ridiculous lol
i never noticed any glitches or anything that was groundbreaking, freezed twice day before the patch but that was it
storywise im not so keen because there 3 ways you can go at the end and when i relaised that i was too far gone and couldt decide against my decision, was actually doing some work legion(gettin boomers on my side) and all of a sudden legions hate me and cant do his quests now so got to go with yes man instead which i didnt wanna do lol
there are a ton more quests then in fallout 3 which is good thing and some mini-quests which dont appear as a quest
boone is the best companion by far him and his sniper are deadly lol
