Game Room dead in the water?
I like Game Room. I'll admit that 99% of the games released (which were all on day 1) were rubbish, but the atmosphere is great and it has some brilliant features, such as the custom challenges and the rewind feature. However, those of us looking forward to new content may be waiting some time...

Looks like I'll be sticking to Battlantis and Yar's Revenge then.

This could be the reason......

Hope it doesn't just get abandoned.

Re: Game Room dead in the water?
Thats a shame, they need to keep adding games to keep it fresh.
My guess is they will release just 2 games per week from the summer on, so they can sell more copies than if they released 10 at a time.

After playing a few of the first batch of games to be released I have never gone back to it. Good idea but I suppose the type of games it has so far you can normally play for free on the net somewhere

Oh dear. If Krome are screwed, I think the best MS could do is try to retro fit as many XBLA titles into it as possible and make it the platform for future XBLA content. Something like the recent Final Fight: Double Impact would fit right in.

Never bothered with it. Didn't tickle my fancy.

Re: Game Room dead in the water?
I love the idea, and I love the the arcade and stuff its really well done but the games are all a bit old school and simple, sure there are some classics from that era that I'm sure will get released at some point but none of the games on there at the minute really float my boat I hope they start to release some of the cool 80's - early 90's games when there were so many class games about in the arcades

Re: Game Room dead in the water?
Just downloaded Game Pack 003 (note the double zero at the beginning). However, trying to actually find that stuff in the Game Room is a bloody ball ache. The new stuff only appears in the Game Room store and not, as I assumed, in the showcase arcade. Hmph!

Yeah, that was a pain. Ended up buying the pool game, and Breakout.
Hopefully we're now back on course for the weekly releases.

Re: Game Room dead in the water?
Juat loaded this up, tried the pitfall demo and superbreakout. I really don't like it. It's confusing as hell. Hard to find anything, no idea what buttons to use in games. Somtimes i was pressing B to start Breakout, sometimes it wouldnt work and I had to press Start, but then that stopped working too,
