gears of war 3 ?????

US, March 31, 2010 - The host of NBC's Late Night with Jimmy Fallon announced he will be debuting a new videogame from famed Epic Games designer Cliff Bleszinski on his show next Thursday night.

Tune in to watch on April 8 starting at 12:35 AM Eastern.

Two possible games Bleszinski will be showcasing are the heavily rumored third title in the Gears of War series, or the still unannounced project from Warsaw-based studio People Can Fly, which is owned by Epic Games.

A trusted source told Edge earlier this month, however, that the first trailer for Gears of War 3 would hit on April 8, the same day as Bleszinski's Late Night appearance. The source also said the game will be unveiled at E3 in June, but won't see a release until early 2011. Looks like we'll have to wait and see whether or not this rumor actually pans out.

An Epic Games representative confirmed to IGN that Bleszinski will be a guest on Late Night, but would not provide any additional details about what he will be showing.

I've seen reports about this too.

Epic do a lot of games so although I'm all for Gears 3 being announced I'm not holding my breath that it's what he's going on with.

Also, who the hell is Jimmy Falon? I know we're on the other side of the pond but Gears is surely a global phenomenon?
Would the advent of the third instalment really be announced on an American chat show?
Has to be at E3 or some other gaming expo...

It'll probably be the untitled 'Shooter from Epic' that EA had on their release schedules a month or two back.
