Lost Planet
One of the earliest releases on the 360 was Capcoms Lost Planet
I bought it at the time and played through the single player missions enjoying the game
I revisited it last night to do some multiplayer boostarage and found myself absolutely marvelling at how excellent the mp is.
Super smooth to set up and lots of different modes
The maps have some fantastic hiding places and the enviroments are brilliant.
So 4 years later this game holds up fantastically and it shows what an excellent developer Capcom are. Hardly ever a dud from them.
Funny how the mp servers are still up and running smoothly and there was even a game update too, along with a bunch of free maps. I wish the money grabbing leeches at other companEAs would follow their lead.
You can get this most places second hand for less than a fiver so if you have not played it already go and grab a copy.
As for ach its very tough to get more than 800pts as to get the last 2 ach worth 200 you are going to need to beat the game on extreme which is near to impossible. But the other ach are possible and now I have found out how to boost the mp I should be on 800 soon.
Great game

Re: Lost Planet
I remember playing the demo of this when it was released and thinking it was pretty good but never got round to buying it, might be worth a look with it being so cheap these days and Lost Planet 2 on the way

Re: Lost Planet
get a friend in a party
create a ranked game with some odd parameters
get friend to search on those odd parameters and as soon as he/she joins get the game started before anyone else joins
play 20 of each of the 4 types of match winning 10 games each and you should be nearly done mp wise
just need to play 20 more games to get to the 100 live match ach and get the 50 head shots and all the ach are yours.
In game 1 make sure you kill your friend 10 times in a row.
Last night we only had a few times where someone else joined in and on one of those occasions we both ganged up on him and the other times I just quit the game before it started.
I was suprised there was any one playing it on ranked tbh, but having enjoyed the matches as much as i did i could see why folks were still on this game years later

Re: Lost Planet
I enjoyed this game until teh FIRRST boss fight. All of my goo ran out/vanished in about 2 mins, and I couldn't do anything as a result. Yet another Capcom failed offering. Dead Rising being the worst offender.
Re: Lost Planet
I liked dead rising, although the save game system is a joke I ended up making my own game by hiding in a shop and seeing how many zombies I could kill before they took me out [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

Dead Rising and Lost Planet are two of the 360s star games
Puzzled over why you did not like them
I can heartily recommend revisiting and for Lost Planet make sure you destroy everything going through the levels grabbing the T Eng (gooo) and get in the Mech VS Suits whenever you can.
Its a fine title and the grappling hook is ace for climbing
The care and attention that capcom put into releases right through their history is amazing and apart from Bionic Commando on teh 360 they are almost peerless

Well there is this "lovely" Capcom release on XBLA: Wolf of the Battlefield: Commando 3
Oh and not forgetting this oh so very forgettable Capcom release: Darkvoid
So yeah... peerless... I think not!

I don't know why but I couldn't stand that game, something about the whole thing just didn't work or feel right for me... preferred Soul Caliber if I'm honest (even if it did have Yoda!).

Re: Lost Planet
Lost Planet was one of the first games i got and i love it. its hard as hell but i think its brilliant. I have dabbled with the online mp when Kent and i started getting some of the mp acheivements. i loved the free dlc especially the map that is like the original doom, its all pixely and stuff. very creating from the developers.
Cant wait for Lost planet 2

I love it, I was a massive fan of SFII back when in the day and SFIV just takes all the best bits of that games and updated them for the current generation, it can be quite tough but the more you play it the more you feel the practice paying off, capcom at their best!

Re: Lost Planet
Nearly started playing this game for the first time today. Was a toss up between lost planet or Modern Warfare 2 which narrowly won. So dont think it'll be long before I get around to it now..
