Criterion have said that they won't be producing any more DLC for Burnout Paradise (Source)

Can't really blame them the game has had an awesome selection of both paid and free DLC the way they have expanded the game since launch has been excellent in my opinion guess they will be focusing on their forthcoming Need for Speed game now [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I think it's sad but I will always remember how great Criterion have been with this game.

They have looked after the Burnout fans better than almost every other game , ever Very Happy

Well that will be a complete and utter waste of time... the Need For Speed franchise has gone to hell in a handcart recently... the last half decent NFS game was Most Wanted... after that game it just went downhill rapidly.

I agree I'm no fan of the NFS games, I am however a big fan of the Burnout games so I'm really looking forward to see what Criterion do with the NFS franchise

Makes perfect sense to me......EA obviously see NFS as the more high profile brand......Burnout Paradise while not as successful, is obviously more critically acclaimed. So move Criterion on to that....potential for a NFS game that is both a critical AND commercial success.

NFS Shift was a great game so for me they had started to find the right direction already

But fingers crossed Criterion are able to have a free reign here because I would hate to see them put all the effort in only to find any online play or DLC is shut off by grEAdy publishers a year or so later.

Being able to hit up Burnout Paradise or for that matter Burnout Revenge and still see them fully functioning after all this time is excellent.

Little bit of info on it here Everton looks promising with EA saying basically that they are going to let them get on with it and do what they want which is good news
