IF IT WASNT FOR THOSE PESKY KIDS

Playing md2 this afternoon and thanks to not being able to stay in party chat had to listen to a load of sqweeky voices singing shouting and being stupid. Is it me getting old and grumpy or should an eighteen game feturing massicars and general blood guts an bullets be for eighteen and overs? Is this not the point of a rating system? Do i take my twelve year old son down to the dvd store and get him nightmare on elm street.....tempting but no. So why the flump do game and other branches not find it highly strange that loads of kids are stood outside the store with the dumb ass parents like they were outside my local game last night.One little sod told me he had got his copy from toys r us by walking in and getting it himself when ask how old he was he replyed 11...W T F ..............................

if they would sell games only to 18y old + there would be no profit.. thats what all companies are about.. they dun care about morals and crap like that.. money is what counts.. and theres WAY more kids then grown ups who wana buy gore games... sad, but its the truth

I think that when they sign up to xbox live if they are under 18 they should be on a different server and only be able to play with each other... It's nice to dream sometimes.

The amount of times I end up muting half the people on games because they are load mouthed, irritating, childish little gobsh**es is unreal!

It does annoy me when you have kids whining and crying that you've shot them when they can't even buy it because they are under age grr...

I mean some kids aren't all that bad, my mum's friend's lad (who's 14) plays cod4 and is alright, he doesn't mouth off or cry or become obnoxious when things don't go his way. He's respectful and has a good sense of humor (he's a poster child for the perfect kid lol seriously he does no wrong, he's amazingly well behaved and adjusted)
then on the other hand my mums other friends kid is the evilest stupidist kid ever who I personally want to strangle every time I meet it. She should be banned from being on the xbox full stop lol

Thats what I do and it works well!

The individual mute function on halo 3 is a godsend when you get some annoying kids on there (which is often!) surprised more games don't incorporate something similar

I found myself muting loads of peeps in this game. They should have had split party chat option for those of us who don't want to listen to those little gits that aren't legally allowed to buy the game, or even scratch cards for that matter.

Still found myself talking to some random others and it was a nice hark back to the old days before party chat (BPC).

Yeah there are some great gamers out there, i was thrown into a horde session with a really tidy guy from yorkshire way on sunday and we battled on for hours lol! obviously i plugged the forum to him lol

I played MW2 for an hour or two last night and the lobbies seemed to be full of whiny kids. This is why I only use my headset when playing with people on my friends' list. It just feels wrong talking to kids you don't know. Comedian and xbox fan Dara O'Briain once said he was playing Halo3 with a bunch of kids, ordering them around, when he stopped and realised he felt like a kiddy fiddler on a grooming session!

I never use game chat, if it's not the irritating whiny children it's pervy blokes that want to send pictures of various parts of their anatomy! I tend to only play with my fellow GSA's or just don't have my mic plugged in on the rare occasion I play a multiplayer game without my GSA buddies.

I sometimes leave my headset out as it can get annoying allthough I do always find it funny when you get a random american guy that thinks he is some kind of tactical genius and starts trying to organise everything

One of my other pet hates is people leaving their microphone open and having it too close to their nose so all you can hear is them breathing

I play late at nite cos then you don't get kids as its so late. But yes they should not be aloud to play mw2, what i say to them is shut up or i'll report you as your under age?? it normanlly works well. [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]

I seem to sometimes notice that I'll play a game with a silent partner for a while, but after I've said a few things here and there ("sorry I teamkilled you!" "oh shoot sorry again!" "oh no not again!") they'll start talking too. Maybe the trick is to wait until you can be sure they're not annoying before committing to talking.

I always feel wrong when there are kids trying to befriend you... It's like "your 13...I'm 24... This is wrong leave me alone!" I think I'd be horrified if I had a child who had random 'friends' on xbox who where my age!

The only reason I added my mums, friends lad is because he's like a brother to me and quite mature for his age. Usually only bothers me if he want's help with a game to.

lol you know what I have been extreamly lucky and never have I had my eyes burnt out by people trying to send inappropiate pictures

this is the whole reason i have never bothered with a mic on live ever.
most the people on my list seem cool with it sure i add them on msn and what not so its not like they dont get to know me over time.
and when it comes to games i can hear if they are in need of help has not let me down on gears 1 of yet
