Xbox Live Problems

Is anyone else having problems connecting to Xbox Live ?

I have tried numerous times tonight to connect and everytime it shuts me out saying there is a problem but everyone else I know is online as I have asked my friends over chat/email....

Can anyone shed any light on this ?

I was on until 9 and everything seemed fine with it. how are you connected? wireless adaptor or ethernet cable? I used to have all sorts of problems with a wireless adaptor. if your using one, the problem may lie there.

I'm hooked up via an ethernet cable and had no problems with xbox live until downloading the dlc for Fable 2 and Saints Row 2,

Saints Row 2 dlc didn't cause me many problems but the fable 2, man that was a nightmare, I downloaded it and wasn't able to go to the island described in the dlc description and I tired of that and went to work, coming home I find I have been cut off from live and only able to connect just recently but now I'm still having the problem of not been able to join parties or even host them where people can get into them, never had any problems before the dlc, Any Ideas guys ?

well i had problems connecting to xbox live yesterday at 4pm onwards, i'd turn on the xbox then be signed in and next min told i was disconnected. tested my connection but no joy at all. it was connected to internet but not xbox live. But at 11.30pm it seemed ok again no problem.

i think they were doing something on it.??? my son had problems to the same as me. plus our pc also had problems at the same time??. But then my son said that we had change our package with pipex so i think that was why with us. and now its much better.

normally worth switching off your router for a couple of mins and then trying again or just waiting until later in the day

service is quite robust but their servers are sometimes a little funny

Yesterday their windows 7 upgrade advisor service was also not able to connect to m$ servers so I would think on this occassion its more likely a problem their end rather than yours mate

I agree, there is/was a problem at their end.

I could logon but someparts of the dashboard, especially when trying to connect to the market place or look up game information were unavailable.

Haven't tried since so I hope it's all cleared up by now...

It happens to me to - but only since the new update - was fine previous to this - my xbox just doesnt like update and it takes ages to calm down again - my black betty throws a wobbler - it does like change LOL

Very frustrating tho - it seems very tempremental at the mo

since the new update I tend to get signed out when a host quits the game, my nats are open on type2 I have port forwared and set up static ip addresses and my average spped is 14.

auto sign in for me is now very tempremental

say one in 3 days I have to weboot my wooter before it can get on to live

something has definately changed since the last update but i just cannot fathom out what would be causing this type of problem

its deffo nothing my side as the portforwarding etc is all done, and once connected to live i have no issues at all

yep same here, I have never experienced any problems before in connecting to live. however since the update my connection will just drop randomly, even though I am still able to connect to the t'nternet.
It most regularly occurs between 10pm and 2am

Thats normally when mine starts playing up, figured that when the West coats starts coming online its screwing things up.

Just switched on my Xbox and 2 updates later the damn thing won't connect to Live.
Looking on the Xbox.com forum pages it would appear Microsoft have screwed something up, as it is affecting a lot of users, so the problem is obviously at their end.
I hope they get it fixed quickly as i was looking forward to my 2 days off and some online gaming while the wife is at work!

i got the same thing, i am sure they will get it sorted soon

Started playing Harry Potter (collecting the damn crests)

And its just signed into live.

Only found out when it told me Gary was online!

rebooting teh wooter works every time

but i am not quite able to work out exactly what issue they have borked here

still the weboooty solution will have to do until they fix their cockery

well don't think mine was there end, cos we've been onto our server and now things are ok. i was have big problem last night playing cod4, got disconnected ever 3-4min. but ok now.

Has everyone got their problems with Live sorted now??
