Multiplayer achievements

Not sure if its just me but I hate the achievements for "what ever" on multiplayer. Im not having a go but like most people I have rent,the car and so on to pay so I cant afford to get most games when they come out. So by the time they've come down in price no ones playing multiplayer anymore so Im pretty much stumped at getting 1000gs.

If theres any games your stuck on at getting multiplayer achievements, just ask on here.
Theres plenty of us willing to play old games.
I've still got quite a few multiplayer cheevos to get on various games!

Depends on the game... Double edged sword and all that...

On the sharp side.. If the game is empty of players, then you can boost the game easily with other people who are also missing the achievement, or willing to you a favour..
The downside to this is where its a crap requirement.. like say Dark Sector, where 3 of its 6 online achievements require at least 4 players... and its a kill number.. which means its a grind.. a bad grind at that... (5000 kills or something I think)

On the plus side, something like Prey makes it quite easy to get the kills (500 Team Deathmatch with 2 people).. but along the way you get achievements for using every weapon..
Both games are dead for multiplayer now, but prey's make it reasonable/possible..


On the other side of that blood stained sword, if there's loads of players still, then its hit and miss if your boosting..... if you & a mate join for pure boosting & it can ruin other peoples games, then its not fair (see Bungie for that!) on the other people who are playing to enjoy the game..
AT the same time, its then difficult for the two people to actually join their own private game to do the boosting because of the 'ranked/player' differences.

going off on a slight tangent, those two (ranked/player) should be removed & everyone does ranked regardless... Might have been a good idea on the design paper as a system that doesnt affect 'player skill' but its been shown to be a rather 'poor' implementation.



Which games have you got that you need boosting on? - at very least I'm sure there's other people who also have games with dust on them that they would get the polish out to get more points on them..

Its games like condenmed 2,CoD3,Too human where I could manage to get the single player achievements no bother but no one plays multiplayer on them anymore

This is what we are here for really, i am sure there are people here that need points from those games too.

dont agree with mp achievements, the only games that you know that there will be enough people is the cod series, halo, forza etc...

Also not everyone has the same skill so some achievements would be impossible.

I've not had a problem with multiplayer achievements, have always managed to find people to play Online with and they are more fun to get than single player achievements.
As has been mentioned before, I am sure you will find some people here that can help you out.

I WILL DO SOME COD3 WITH YOU IF YOU LIKE.

I might be tempted to help out with some COD3 too, though I haven't played it in donkeys.
I'm not too worried about getting the mp cheevos for myself... but I am worried if another GSA member is lacking.

As said in previous posts this is what this community is all about. Getting cheevos for yourself is just as important as helping out other members to get theirs.

i have got cod 3 never really played it though, would be up for a bit of mp, probably be rubbish but i would give it a go
