Trials HD
I just thought I'd write in with my initial impressions of the game.
I downloaded the demo yesterday and was pretty ambivalent towards the game on the first couple of go's. However, after playing it for about 15 minutes I really got into it and took the plunge and bought it.
I've got to say this is one of the most addictive, infuriating and joystick-throwing games I have ever played.
The game looks really good and there is a very marked difference between the types of bike on offer. The out and out trials bike are so highly strung that the slightest shift of weight balance can tip you over. Also, the physics engine that goes into making the bike react to different surfaces and inclines is fantastic.
The game also offers a host of challenges from out and out speed challenges to different courses to try and negotiate.
There is also a course editor (which I haven't tried yet). The thing that really struck me is that this game has the potential to be the 360's game to surpass 'little big planet'. Once the user content comes online and some users put their sick and twisted minds into some devlishly tricky tracks the user downloadable content will be fantastic.
All in all this arcade game would not be out of place competing against more expensive full 360 games. It is worth the money and is one of the few games I would give a 5/5 for. Well worth 1200 ms points. What do you think?

Re: Trials HD
i got it this morning and have to say it is brilliant, really good fun and really challenging. the early levels are quite easy but as you get on to the hard difficulty they really test your skill. as well as the main levels there are 12 mini games, these are my fav part of the game, great fun.
i recommend it to anybody.

Re: Trials HD
Bought this yesterday.
And i've gotta say it is seriously addictive, and infuriatingly difficult on the harder levels.
I've spent ages to trying to figure out how to get up/over some obstacles. Or trying to improve my times, to get the gold medals. Then i unlocked the platinum medals. As if the gold ones arent tough enough.
Some of the mini games are really good fun too.
Wife is already getting annoyed with me playing it constantly lol!

Re: Trials HD
I brought it, caved in and paid full price, loved it until... It started to get so hard I wanted to hurt someone lol... So I started playing COD:WAW to get rid of some anger lol.
It is a great game it's just soooo frustrating and difficult lol.

Re: Trials HD
Well i've been playing this a bit again the last few days. I've now managed to complete all the Extreme tracks (Bronze medals only).
And i have all but 1 cheevo left to get, only problem is its the endurance event you have to complete without a single fault!
There is no flookin chance this is possible.
Oh well when my thumbs stop bleedin i might try again! Although there is a high risk of a controller going through the front of my telly.

Re: Trials HD
lmao
Same here been giving serious consideration to get a plastic box installed around my tv so if I do resort to lobbing my control it will bounce off the protector rather than smashing through my tv

Re: Trials HD
yeah Ive had the trial game for a while but havent taken the plunge yet. Whilst it looks great, I am concerned that the price 1200msp might be a bit steep for a game that could become very repetitive very quickly. Its good to hear some of you are really enjoying it, so perhaps I may get it

Re: Trials HD
It is a bit pricey, could do with more tracks in it.
I wouldn't say its too repetitive more frustrating than anything.
If they reduce the price i say its a must buy!

Re: Trials HD
I was playing the demo last night and its awesome, reminds me of an old 2D motocross game I used to have on my gameboy! Think I might take the plunge this weekend and buy the full version, so many good games coming out between now and christmas though and I still have tonnes of unfinished ones in my collection!
